About BambooSMP
BambooSMP is a relaxed survival server where players gather resources, build homes, explore a tropical island-themed world, and develop their own long-term projects. The server keeps the familiar Minecraft survival loop while adding quality-of-life systems, protected building areas, public farms, a live map, community events, and a no-reset approach that lets bases and roads remain part of the world.
What Makes It Different
BambooSMP combines a permanent world with unusually clear low-conflict rules. PvP is opt-in, players can hide their marker from the live map, and griefing or theft is prohibited, making the server a better fit for builders who want shared-world interaction without constant combat pressure.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.

The server adds quality-of-life features and custom systems around survival. Its custom content includes an event area, server-specific rewards, a more developed fishing system with bosses and events, and systems created specifically for BambooSMP rather than a purely unmodified survival setup.
BambooSMP presents its survival world as a tropical island setting with a central island hub, player-built roads, bases, farms, and landmarks. A live map shows the developing world, and players can use `/map hide` or `/map show` to control whether their marker appears.
PvP is opt-in. Both players must agree before fighting, and killing someone who did not consent requires returning their items. Hacked clients, x-ray, macros, auto-clickers, duplication, and other unfair advantages are prohibited.
The server uses in-game money alongside coins used through `/coinshop`. Coins can be earned through activities such as voting and playing, while the server's store sells coin packages and related perks as optional support rather than direct combat advantages.
An event area provides minigames and organized activities with a separate token currency. Tokens can be spent on cosmetics, and event rewards are designed to be earnable through play rather than reserved for store purchasers.
BambooSMP is built around a small, relaxed community with no whitelist application. Discord is used for announcements, build sharing, support tickets, and appeals, while staff members also play on the server and help newcomers in-game.
Players must respect bases and keep at least 200 blocks from another player's base unless invited closer. Griefing, stealing, harassment, cheats, exploits, lag machines, advertising, and hate speech are forbidden. Public farms are shared spaces that players are expected to use responsibly and restock.
The server is free to join and does not sell combat or progression advantages. Store purchases cover cosmetics, convenience, and coins, with one-time payments handled through Tebex. Voting and in-game activity also provide ways to earn rewards without spending money.
Opt-in PvP lets players enable or agree to player combat instead of making hostile encounters universal.
