About Java Survival
Java Survival centers on ordinary Minecraft survival in a shared world shaped by its players. Gather resources, build homes and infrastructure, explore, and develop long-term projects with only a small layer of server-made additions around the vanilla experience. The current world is the server’s third, giving established builds and community landmarks room to grow over time.
What Makes It Different
Java Survival puts unusual weight on the idea that the shared world should be built through normal survival play. Its server-made plugins are aimed at practical commands and land protection rather than replacing Minecraft’s resource gathering, crafting, and building progression.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.

Progress is self-directed rather than organized around a large rank ladder or RPG system. Players improve through better equipment, farms, storage, transport, buildings, and larger community projects. The server also avoids pay-to-win advantages and limits gameplay-warping conveniences, with some stated exceptions.
Server-developed plugins provide basic commands and land protection while keeping the experience close to survival Minecraft. The server does not center its gameplay on client-side mods or large custom systems.
The current world is Java Survival’s third world and began on March 28, 2025. Player-built homes, roads, farms, shops, landmarks, and other infrastructure remain part of an ongoing shared setting. Earlier worlds can be downloaded as archives.
Staff and players run occasional events alongside normal survival play. Events supplement the shared world instead of replacing its long-term building and exploration focus.
Java Survival welcomes players aged 13 and above. Casual swearing is allowed, so the community is not presented as strictly family-friendly. Discord and in-game communication support an ongoing social community around the shared world.
Players are expected to avoid hacking, cheating, exploits, disruptive behavior, excessive offensive language, advertising, and interference with other players’ property. Players should also avoid building too close to other players and treat the community respectfully.
The server is designed around avoiding pay-to-win advantages. Its stated approach rejects paid gameplay benefits that would provide unfair progression or replace ordinary survival work.

History of Java Survival
Java Survival’s first world opened on November 26, 2019 and continued until December 17, 2021. The second world began on December 17, 2021 and ran until March 22, 2025.
The third world opened on March 28, 2025 and is the current setting for the server. Previous worlds remain available as downloadable archives, preserving the server’s earlier stages rather than discarding them completely.
