About Unlimitedworld
Unlimitedworld is a survival freebuild server built around long-term construction rather than seasonal resets. Players claim land in a natural main world, protect their builds, and can grant carefully chosen permissions to friends or project members.
The world is connected by rail lines, warps and project portals. Beyond the main survival map, there are dedicated farm, Creative, minigame, event and skin-building worlds. The server also runs community activities ranging from build events to custom minigames such as Dropper and MobArena.
What Makes It Different
Unlimitedworld combines a natural shared world with a detailed land system. Your zone protects the whole build area, but you can still divide it into subzones and give different friends different rights. The world also keeps community projects connected through railways and project portals instead of isolating players in separate plots.
Freebuild is a Minecraft building mode centered on creating structures and landscapes without a required combat, quest, or level-progression path.
The server is explicitly structured as a survival freebuild experience.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server focuses on lasting builds and a continuously developed shared world.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Protected player zones and detailed permission controls are central mechanics.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server's primary mode is survival.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a long-running survival world with community projects and cooperation.
Start at the central spawn, complete the activation step, and then choose a place in the main world for your first zone. Railways, warps, the live map and project portals make travel practical even when builds are far apart. A separate Farmwelt handles resource gathering, while Creative and minigame worlds provide space for testing, challenges and events.
Your first zone starts with a 2,500-block area limit. After five hours of play, the limit rises to 10,000 blocks. Reaching level 100 raises it to 20,000 blocks. Players can create up to five personal zones, and successful builds can qualify for larger project zones or a project portal from spawn.
Unlimitedworld adds its own zone commands, permission groups, project portals, server railways, decorative heads, armor-stand features, achievements and a level system. These tools support large builds and community projects without requiring players to install a large modpack.
The main world uses natural terrain and is divided into player, server and community zones. Free land appears between existing zones, while inactive areas can eventually be reclaimed. Separate worlds include a Farmwelt, Creative plot cities, minigame and event areas, and a skin-building world. The main world is deliberately shallower underground than the Farmwelt to keep heavily developed areas running smoothly.
PvP is part of the server's survival offering, but Unlimitedworld's main focus is protected building and cooperation rather than unrestricted combat. The exact combat rules depend on the relevant area and server rules.
Player trade is an important part of the community, with dedicated trading and shop discussions alongside in-game markets. Voting rewards, the DiaLotto and the server's treasure systems add extra ways to engage with the economy outside ordinary survival building.
The server runs seasonal and themed events, build contests and special event worlds. Recent examples include a digital gamescom world, a desert-city building event and community-built Dropper levels. Players also organize their own events through the community platform.
Unlimitedworld has a German-speaking community organized around project presentations, player events, trading, zone applications and build showcases. The server provides an official forum, Discord information, TeamSpeak support and a large staff structure with administrators, moderators, guards and helpers.
New players must complete a server activation step before playing fully. Protected zones prevent other players from destroying or taking things inside them, and griefing can be reported to the team with /ticket. Building, farms, transport routes and shared areas are governed by server rules and staff review.

History of Unlimitedworld
Unlimitedworld began in March 2011 as a German survival freebuild server. Its central idea was simple: let players build lasting projects in a shared natural world instead of placing everyone in a separate flat plot.
By 2013, the server was already established in the German Minecraft scene. An active community and staff structure had formed around the survival map, with building, travel and player cooperation becoming as important as collecting resources.
By 2014, the server had a mature onboarding path for new players. New arrivals started at a central spawn, explored the world, used rail travel and project links, and completed an activation step before receiving full building access.
During the following years, the zone system became the backbone of the server. Players could claim rectangular areas, protect containers and animals, create subzones, and give precise rights to other builders. Larger projects could grow into project zones and receive direct links from spawn.
The network expanded beyond its main world with a Farmwelt, Creative plots, minigame areas, event worlds and other themed spaces. Server-run railways, maps, markets, player projects and recurring events gave the persistent survival map a stronger sense of place than a simple private SMP.
In late 2023, Bedrock players gained access to the same server through account linking. Bedrock users can join the Java-based world, while server-side handling keeps important gameplay and redstone behavior consistent.
Today, Unlimitedworld remains a managed, community-driven survival world focused on protected building zones, large shared projects, player trade, events and a long-running German-speaking community.
