About GermanMine
GermanMine is a German Java survival server built around long-term building, trading, and community projects. The main world mixes protected land with open PvP and griefing areas, so players choose when to play safely and when to take risks.
A separate mining world handles heavy digging, while Freebuild offers free protection and Creative provides a larger building space with restricted WorldEdit. Jobs, shops, tasks, MobArena, seasonal events, and player-run projects give the server more to do than basic survival.
What Makes It Different
GermanMine combines old-school long-term survival with two very different risk levels. The main world allows PvP and griefing outside protected land, while Freebuild gives everyone free protection. Its dedicated mining, Creative, and community-event worlds add variety without replacing the survival focus.
Freebuild is a Minecraft building mode centered on creating structures and landscapes without a required combat, quest, or level-progression path.
A dedicated Freebuild world provides protected player building.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Secured land is central to protecting builds and shaping the risk model.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, shops, banking, and paid land protection are major parts of progression.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is the server's primary mode and central long-term activity.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is built around shared survival worlds, settlements, trading, and community play.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
PvP is available in the main world and designated arenas.
Use the main world for settlements, trading, and everyday survival. A separate mining world is available for large-scale digging. Freebuild provides protected plots, and Creative supports larger building projects with limited WorldEdit on secured areas. MobArena and server events offer combat and side activities.
Jobs and player shops turn gathered resources into in-game income. Land protection in the main world uses Klotzies and depends on available funds, while Freebuild protection is free. New players can also use the task system for guided objectives.
Custom features include tutorial and activity tasks, MobArena progression, special villagers, themed NPC content, and restricted WorldEdit for Creative plots. The server also uses its own land-protection and economy systems.
GermanMine offers a main survival world, a dedicated mining world, a Freebuild world with free protection, and a public Creative world. The main world has received later terrain expansions, and the network provides a dedicated BlueMap.
PvP is allowed in the main world outside secured areas and in marked PvP arenas. Combat logging through quitting or teleporting is forbidden. Players cannot attack from protected land unless they can also be harmed there.
The economy uses jobs, player shops, and an in-game bank balance. Klotzies are used for land protection in the main world. Player-to-player trades are made at the participants' own risk, with no automatic staff compensation for broken deals.
Events include seasonal hunts, story-led activities, and community challenges. Recent examples include the 2025 Halloween enchanted-pig event and a 2026 bounty-hunter storyline around the capital.
GermanMine is aimed at German-speaking players and has a long-running forum community alongside TeamSpeak 3 and other social channels. Players can take part in community projects, events, discussions, and supporter applications.
Hacks, X-Ray, combat advantages, bug exploitation, item duplication, bot use, and unattended or performance-heavy farms are prohibited. Griefing is allowed only in the main world outside secured areas. Creative builds may be transferred to other worlds, but cheated items cannot be moved. Players are responsible for their own trades.
An official web shop exists, but joining and playing the server do not require a real-money purchase. The core survival, building, economy, and community features are available through gameplay.

History of GermanMine
GermanMine began in early 2011 as a German-language Minecraft community. Its early years centered on survival building, player interaction, and a long-running shared world rather than short seasonal resets.
By the server's first established years, the experience had grown into a mix of Survival, Freebuild, PvP, shops, jobs, and land protection. The main world allowed more danger outside secured areas, while Freebuild gave players a safer place to build.
The server later expanded its world structure with a dedicated mining world and a public Creative world. MobArena, community events, special villagers, and an in-game economy added activities beyond ordinary resource gathering.
In January 2025, the main world expanded 1,000 blocks to the south for the Pale Garden and its new Pale Oak resources. The change brought newer Minecraft terrain into the long-running survival map.
Creative development continued in August 2025. Players gained usable containers for detailed builds and access to restricted WorldEdit on their own secured plots, making large projects faster without opening the tool to unrestricted server-wide use.
The server moved to Minecraft 1.21.8 in October 2025 and continued adding themed activities. Halloween brought an enchanted-pig hunt, while later story content introduced a bounty-hunter mystery around the capital.
In May 2026, GermanMine added a task system with tutorial tasks for new players and additional activities accessible through an in-game command. Today it remains a German Java survival network with several world types, a player economy, protected building, optional PvP, and a long-running community structure.
