About Evergreen

Evergreen is a long-term Java survival SMP built around a world that does not regularly reset. Players gather resources, build homes and towns, earn money through jobs, and trade through shops run by other players.

The server keeps the feel of normal Minecraft while adding useful systems around it. Playtime ranks replace paid progression, many extra features can be turned off, and land claims help protect major builds. That makes Evergreen a good fit for players who want a lasting home rather than a short seasonal map.

What Makes It Different

Evergreen's biggest difference is permanence. The world is meant to keep growing instead of disappearing at the end of a season.

It also lets players choose how much help they want. Most extra features can be used when useful and switched off when players want a more ordinary Minecraft feel.

Evergreen Gameplay

Start with normal survival: gather wood, mine, build a base, and explore for resources. Jobs provide another way to earn money while playing.

Player-made shops and warps help with trading and travel. Land claims can be used to protect important builds. McMMO adds skill progression to common activities such as mining and combat.

History of Evergreen

Evergreen was founded on March 6, 2023 as a permanent survival server. Its early focus was simple survival with room for builders, technical players, and players who wanted a stable place to return to.

The server developed around a permanent-world model instead of frequent resets. This gave large builds, farms, shops, and shared projects lasting value, while allowing players to take breaks without losing their progress.

During its early growth, Evergreen added a player-run economy supported by jobs and player-made shops. McMMO, land claims, player warps, and other quality-of-life systems expanded the survival experience without replacing the normal Minecraft progression path.

The server also introduced a playtime-based ranking system. Perks and commands are earned by playing rather than purchased, keeping equipment and progression separate from store spending.

In 2025 and early 2026, the community continued building large shared projects, map art, farms, shops, and minigames. Events and seasonal activities became part of the server's social life alongside everyday survival.

On June 19, 2026, the server changed its name from The Perch to Evergreen. The rebrand kept the established survival world and community while giving the network a new public name.

Today, Evergreen offers a persistent Java survival world with player commerce, protected building areas, playtime ranks, community events, and optional custom conveniences.
