About MinedHype
MinedHype is a mostly vanilla SMP built for players who want a world that keeps its history. The Overworld and Nether stay in place, while the End is refreshed regularly. New players start far from center, so bases and towns can spread across a huge world.
Claims protect homes, but they reward activity. You receive claim blocks when you join and earn more through playtime. The public Shopping District, Trading Hall, and Gaming District give the survival world shared places to trade, play, and meet other players.
PvP is opt-in and disabled by default. Death drops are protected unless you unlock them, keeping normal travel calmer without removing all risk from unclaimed land, the End, or dangerous public activities.
What Makes It Different
MinedHype keeps the important worlds instead of wiping the map. Your builds, shops, roads, and shared landmarks can become part of a long-running world. The End still resets, so that dimension stays useful for fresh resources and new dragon runs.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The Overworld and Nether remain intact through ongoing server updates.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
The server has a dedicated public Shopping District for player-run shops.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
Gameplay is described as mostly vanilla with limited additions.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is centered on a persistent survival world.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is presented as a survival multiplayer community.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
GriefPrevention claims are a major part of home protection and progression.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Player trading and shops form the main economic systems.
Most play happens in a normal survival world with /tpa, /sethome, /home, and /rtp. Your first spawn is random within 35,000 blocks of 0,0, while /rtp sends you to a safe location between 40,000 and 90,000 blocks from center. Commands such as /tpshop and /tpgame connect players to the main public districts. Per-chunk limits apply to hoppers, pistons, minecarts, observers, and other entities, so oversized machines need careful planning.
Claim blocks are the main long-term progression system. New players receive 1,000 blocks, then earn 250 more for each hour played until reaching 100,000. Build events can award extra claims and homes. Free Bonus Member status requires at least 100 hours, a detailed personal home, and approval. Bonus Builder status is reserved for established builders who have already reached the normal claim limit.
MinedHype adds a Player Head Drops datapack, Discord-connected chat and achievement activity, protected death drops, random safe teleporting, and a collection of redstone-built public games. Fire spread is disabled, Withers cannot be spawned in the Overworld, and large redstone or entity-heavy setups face per-chunk limits.
The Overworld and Nether are permanent worlds with no set border. The End is the only world scheduled for resets, occurring at least twice a year or when needed. First joins use a wide random spawn, the locator bar is disabled, and public infrastructure includes an End portal, Enderman farm, Trading Hall, Shopping District, and Gaming District.
PvP is disabled by default and only works when the players involved agree and enable it. It does not function inside claimed areas. Intentional kills, revenge deaths, damaging pranks, and teleport traps are forbidden. Unclaimed land remains vulnerable to griefing, and the End and public gaming areas can still be dangerous.
The economy is built around player-run shops and public trading. Shops are organized by item categories in the Shopping District, and commands such as /shop find, /shop out, and /shop sold help players find stock and track sales. Game Tokens, TNT, Wither Skulls, and End Crystals cannot be traded through the shopping district.
The server runs recurring themed build contests such as Wood, Barn, Chunk, Haunted House, Winter, Island, Pumpkin Patch, Biome, Snow Globe, Valentine’s, and Fantasy events. Builds must be completed in the SMP and fully claimed. Rewards can include claim blocks, extra homes, mystery shulkers, and special prizes.
MinedHype uses Discord for live SMP chat, achievements, event updates, reports, and support. In-game chat and Discord are English-only. Shared public spaces give players places to trade, play minigames, display builds, and take part in community projects.
Cheating, hacking, exploits, x-ray, bots, dupes, harassment, spam, inappropriate builds, and ban evasion are prohibited. Players must respect claims and ask before building or claiming beside another player's area. Griefing is allowed only in unclaimed areas. Public games have additional rules against interference, theft, cheating, and intentional kills.
The SMP is free to play and optional donations do not provide gameplay advantages. A $10 Bonus Donor payment provides one month of cosmetic, social, Discord, shop, and access perks. Free Bonus Member and Bonus Builder ranks are earned through playtime, building, activity, and approval rather than payment.

History of MinedHype
MinedHype began with a fresh random seed when Minecraft 1.14 launched in 2019. Its foundation was a long-term survival world rather than a seasonal map built around frequent wipes.
The server developed around mostly vanilla gameplay, GriefPrevention claims, player homes, and public areas where players could trade and work on shared projects. The Overworld and Nether became persistent parts of the world, while the End remained the one dimension intended for periodic renewal.
By 2024, MinedHype was continuing its long-running SMP through Minecraft 1.20.6 and the early 1.21 releases. The server also ran themed build contests, including Wood and Chunk events, and brought its interactive world map back online during the summer.
The build-event tradition expanded through late 2024 with Haunted House and Winter contests. Completed builds could earn extra claim blocks, giving builders a useful reward without turning the events into a separate temporary game mode.
During 2025, MinedHype continued updating through the 1.21 series and added more themed building competitions, including Barn, Island, Pumpkin Patch, and Snow Globe events. The server's public build galleries became a lasting record of those projects.
In early 2026, the server held Valentine’s and Biome build events before opening the Gaming District on March 7. The new area added public minigames, prize machines, tokens, and challenges alongside the existing shopping and trading hubs.
The End was reset during the May 2026 update, while the main Overworld and Nether remained intact. MinedHype then moved to Minecraft 26.2 in July and hosted a large Fantasy Build Event through August, with prizes tied to finished, claimed builds.
Today, MinedHype remains a persistent survival world with protected homes, player-run commerce, recurring build competitions, Discord-connected community features, and a separate gaming area for players who want something beyond ordinary survival.
