About Sunrise SMP
Sunrise SMP keeps the familiar Survival formula but adds the systems that make a long-term world easier to live in. Land claims protect your builds, while jobs and player shops give useful reasons to gather, trade, and stay involved with the community.
The world is built around a never-reset format, so large builds and player projects can remain part of the map. Java and Bedrock players can share the same server, and daily events add extra goals beyond normal survival.
What Makes It Different
Sunrise SMP combines a never-reset world with light survival extras instead of replacing Minecraft with a large custom game mode. You can protect a permanent base, earn through jobs, and trade through player shops while keeping the normal Survival feel.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server emphasizes a world that never resets.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
Its format is explicitly described as Vanilla+ rather than heavily custom or modded.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Player-run shops are a named part of the server's economy.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is the server's main and consistently documented game mode.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The current server name and MOTD identify it as an SMP.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Land protection is one of the server's clearest gameplay features.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs and player trading create a clear survival economy.
The main mode is Vanilla+ Survival. Land claims let players protect homes and building areas, while jobs add extra value to normal resource gathering. Player shops provide a way to trade materials and supplies with other players.
Progress is tied to building up a long-term base, taking part in jobs, gathering useful resources, and selling or buying through player shops. The persistent map gives projects time to grow instead of pushing players toward a season reset.
The server uses a light Vanilla+ plugin layer around Survival, including land protection, jobs, shops, and event systems.
The world is designed to remain in place rather than reset between seasons. That makes large builds, established claims, and older community projects part of the ongoing survival experience.
The economy is player-facing. Jobs provide an earning path, and player shops let the community exchange resources and crafted goods.
Daily events are part of the server's regular format, adding short activities and goals alongside normal survival play.
Player shops and shared events give the server a social layer beyond private bases. Cooperation, trading, and community projects fit the persistent SMP format.

History of Sunrise SMP
SunriseMC was already running by June 20, 2020. At that point, it had separate Towny and Survival servers with different plugin setups and gameplay goals.
The early Survival server included crates, furniture, rank-up progression, quests, custom mobs, craftable spawners, custom recipes, and colored name tags. The Towny side focused more on towns, jobs, resource worlds, shops, and building competitions.
The survival format later concentrated on a simpler set of long-term systems: golden-shovel land claims, jobs, and player shops. These additions kept the world close to vanilla while giving players protection and a reason to trade.
By the Minecraft 1.21.11 era, the server was running as Sunrise SMP with a Vanilla+ survival format. Its central promises became a persistent world, protected land, shared Java–Bedrock play, and daily events.
Today, Sunrise SMP is a long-term survival server rather than a rotating seasonal network. Players build in the same continuing world, develop their claims, use jobs and shops, and take part in the server's event cycle.
