About ChillZone
ChillZone is a whitelisted Java SMP built around long-term survival, towns, and player-made projects. It keeps the vanilla feel while adding claims, quality-of-life tweaks, a live map, Discord linking, and optional proximity voice chat.
What Makes It Different
The server combines a relaxed Hermitcraft-style community with a surprisingly detailed player economy. Diamonds act as the money, while protected lands, rented shop plots, and player-run stores give towns a real local economy.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Spawn plots, markets, and slab-based stores are major multiplayer systems.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The main world is designed for long-term development while resource worlds reset separately.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
The Lands system provides protected areas, roles, and subareas.

Diamonds are the main progression resource and also function as currency. Mining, structures, and resource worlds feed the economy, while shops let players turn materials, farms, and crafted goods into money. Long-term players can expand claims, develop towns, and operate larger player businesses.
ChillZone adds Vanilla Tweaks such as armor stands, mob heads, and double shulker shells. It also supports Discord chat linking, Dynmap, CoreProtect, Lands claims, and optional Simple Voice Chat. The server avoids large systems that substantially change vanilla progression.
The main world is treated as a long-term building space. Separate resource, Nether, and End worlds handle large-scale gathering and reset monthly. Their listed sizes are approximately 5,000 blocks for the resource worlds and 7,500 blocks for the resource End.
Random attacks are forbidden. PvP must be agreed to by both players, so combat is based on arranged fights or mutual conflict rather than constant open-world danger.
Each diamond exchanges for $100 at spawn. Players can rent shop plots or smaller market spaces, then sell items through slab-based shops. Shop owners can link chests, share profits, view transaction logs, and stock stores with hoppers.
Seasonal events have included maze challenges, an Earth Day ArtMap event, limited titles, Halloween rewards, and other community activities. A creative server was added alongside the 1.21 update.
Joining requires a whitelist application through Discord. The community is built around towns, shared projects, player suggestions, and a mature but not adults-only chat environment. English is the expected language for in-game chat.
Respectful behavior is required. Stealing, griefing, harassment, advertising, random PvP, hacked clients, x-ray, and exploit abuse are forbidden. TNT, carpet, and rail duplication are allowed, while gravity-block duplication is not. Large lag-heavy farms and messy resource gathering in the main world are restricted.
Patreon support is available for server upkeep. ChillZone is presented as a no-pay-to-win server, with gameplay centered on survival, building, and player commerce rather than purchased power.

ChillZone began in October 2019 under mythiccal, growing from a small community project into a long-running SMP. Its early direction was influenced by Hermitcraft, with an emphasis on shared builds, towns, and a friendly social atmosphere rather than minigames or heavy RPG systems.
