About Grand Theft Minecart

Grand Theft Minecart drops players into MineSantos, a custom city built for crime, combat, and money-making. Loot gear, rank up, buy a house or apartment, use custom weapons and vehicles, and survive encounters with police and other players.

The server feels closer to a crime sandbox than vanilla survival. Crews compete for territory, missions, and wars, while businesses, trading, cosmetics, and seasonal events give players reasons to keep building their fortune.

What Makes It Different

Grand Theft Minecart makes Minecraft feel like a crime game. You can rob for gear, buy property, drive unusual vehicles, fight police, and build power with a crew.

Its custom systems are unusually deep for a Minecraft server. Weapons, jetpacks, businesses, houses, territories, cosmetics, and events all connect to the same city-based experience.

Grand Theft Minecart Gameplay

Begin in MineSantos and learn the city by looting, earning money, buying equipment, and taking part in fights. Houses and apartments give you places to store your progress.

You can work toward better gear, join a crew, run businesses, explore the map, trade with other players, or take part in special activities and events.

History of Grand Theft Minecart

Grand Theft Minecart was already circulating as a GTA-styled Minecraft project in the early 2010s. It grew around a custom mode rather than a normal survival map, bringing crime, police, weapons, vehicles, and city life into Minecraft.

MineSantos became the server's defining setting. Players could loot chests, earn ranks, unlock stronger equipment, purchase houses or apartments, and join gangs. The city gave the server a clear loop: make money, gain power, and protect what you own.

By September 2017, Grand Theft Minecart had an established forum and dedicated wiki. Its custom mode had developed into a large ruleset with dozens of weapons, vehicles ranging from cars to tanks and planes, player housing, gangs, and a trading-focused community.

The network continued expanding its custom systems instead of moving toward ordinary vanilla survival. Combat, businesses, houses, vehicles, rank progression, and player commerce became tightly linked parts of the MineSantos experience.

On June 4, 2026, patch 3.2 replaced the older gang system with crews. Crews could level up, unlock perks, earn street cred, complete missions, capture territories, and fight crew wars. The update also introduced weapon skins, cosmetic tags, and simple player-versus-player games such as Rock Paper Scissors and Coin Flip.

Patch 3.3 followed on June 8, 2026, adding candy found in vending machines around the city. Candy provided temporary effects and expanded the older med-kit idea, while businesses, crew quests, boosters, and several interface systems received fixes.

Patch 3.4 on June 14, 2026, reworked hit registration and armor behavior for jetpack combat. The change added clearer hit timing, damage-stun windows, and a small adjustment for players with higher latency.

Patch 3.5 arrived on June 23, 2026, as a summer fishing event. Players could level fishing rods, collect fish for rotating catalogs, earn rewards, and visit a Brick shop containing seasonal tags, armor, and houses. Grand Theft Minecart now combines its original MineSantos crime game with crews, businesses, custom combat, live events, and a long-running player economy.
