The Minecraft Server Map

Each block is one server, sized by players online now (or the average for the week or month) and coloured by the change: daily compares today's average so far (UTC) with yesterday, weekly the last 7 full days with the 7 before, monthly the last 30 with the 30 before. The smallest servers are too small to label; hover or search to find them.

The scale of it

• The single busiest server, DonutSMP, has 12% of every player online.
• The top 10 servers hold 41% of all players. The other 1,706 share the rest.
• Half of all players are on just 21 servers. That is 1% of the servers on this map.
• The typical server has 14 players online right now.
• 990 servers have fewer than 20 players. Together they add up to 6,929 players.
• Another 311 listed servers are online with nobody on right now.
