Shorecrest is a city players have been building for years, and VindexCraft runs it like a real nation. Citizens vote for a president, watch debates and turn up to town halls with staff. Police need a judge's warrant to raid, criminals plan robberies and hostage scenes, and both sides follow detailed roleplay rules.
You pick a side, get a job, rent the right kind of property for a home or shop and trade through chest shops. Ships sail the channels, proximity voice chat works on any client, and a custom resource pack adds the city's look. It runs on Java Edition in English.
What Makes It Different
Players elect a president of Vindex Nation; in March 2026 BarryBurns won a second term after a voice debate between the candidates.
City roleplay in Shorecrest with police, criminals, judges and elected leaders.
Jobs, chest shops, zoned shop property and a city bank.
You roleplay as a citizen of Shorecrest: work a job, follow or break the law and deal with the results. When you die you start a new life, and your old crimes and wanted status are cleared.
Killing needs a roleplay reason; random kills are punished. Mugging, bank robbery, hostage taking and gang conflicts each have their own rules, and the wilderness is open for fights.
Shops and homes go in zoned property, and you trade through chest shops. The Bank of Shorecrest, shown in October 2026, holds citizens' accounts.
News is written like a city paper, and the NARA wiki keeps the rules and old memos. Elections, debates and town halls bring the city together.
Rules cover fail roleplay, warrants, property and wars between nations. Slurs earn an instant temporary ban.
You open a shop in commercial-zoned property and sell through chest shops to other citizens.
Safe zones protect players from arrests, cuffs and kidnapping, and using them to dodge roleplay is against the rules.
The Bank of Shorecrest holds citizens' accounts, and an upcoming robbery system lets the crime side hit it as a team.
Jobs like police, deputy and judge have set slots, and a bus driver job with routes and fares is coming.
Vindex Nation holds presidential elections with debates, and wars with other nations need staff approval.
The main VindexCraft pack gives the city its look, with a separate pack for the Zombies Halloween mode.
Ships sail the city's channels, and the October 2026 update adds buses with seats your pet can ride in.
Proximity voice chat added in August 2025 works on all clients through the VindexVoice page.

History of VindexCraft
VindexCraft opened on 9 September 2012. Its Halloween Zombies mode, first made in 2019, came back in April 2025.
When Enjin shut down, the server moved to a new website in August 2024 and marked 12 years that September. Proximity voice chat arrived in August 2025.
Version 1.0 brought new rules in February 2026, and in March BarryBurns won a second term as president after a live debate. In October 2026 the team began teasing a new era with the Bank of Shorecrest, bus driving and basketball.
