About Cubex Crossplay
Cubex Crossplay is built around a simple idea: Minecraft players can share a space with people joining from Hytale and Roblox. The Minecraft entry point is mc.cubexcrossplay.net, and the project is designed to work without client-side mods or plugins.
Play is centered on meeting people, chatting, and building in a freebuild-style world. It feels more like a cross-platform social sandbox than a survival network with ranks, economies, or PvP seasons.
What Makes It Different
Most Minecraft servers keep players inside Minecraft. Cubex lets Minecraft players meet people arriving from Hytale and Roblox in the same social building space, without requiring client mods.
Freebuild is a Minecraft building mode centered on creating structures and landscapes without a required combat, quest, or level-progression path.
Building in a shared freebuild-style environment is the server's main Minecraft activity.
The main activities are chatting, meeting players from other platforms, and building in a freebuild-style environment. It is a relaxed sandbox rather than a combat-first server.
Cubex uses a custom-built server solution to connect the three platforms. Players are intended to join through their normal game rather than installing special client mods or plugins.
The project uses a shared multiplayer environment that connects players from Minecraft, Hytale, and Roblox. The playable focus is social interaction and freebuild construction.
The community is organized around cross-platform social play, with a Discord server used for Cubex updates and discussion.

destructoid.comA launch-period gaming guide covered Cubex because of its unusual shared-world crossplay between Minecraft, Hytale, and Roblox, along with its planned social and freebuild features.
History of Cubex Crossplay
Cubex emerged in spring 2026 as a custom-built attempt to put Minecraft, Hytale, and Roblox players into one multiplayer space. Launch coverage set April 11, 2026 as the release date for the project.
By April 18, crossplay was live as a social hangout. The first version focused on bringing different gaming communities together rather than offering a long survival grind or competitive server network.
Freebuild was part of the early direction for the project. By August 2026, Cubex Crossplay was being shown through a beta freebuild experience, giving players a real building space alongside the social lobby.
Cubex now remains a young cross-platform sandbox built around shared conversation, building, and experimentation between Minecraft, Hytale, and Roblox players.
