About CosmicX
CosmicX is mainly a serious builder’s network. Its creative plot world offers unlimited 512x512 plots, powerful WorldEdit, Axiom support, brush and painting tools, decorative heads, redstone, schematics, and player-made warps. The building limits are unusually generous, so large cities and detailed roleplay locations are practical rather than cramped.
There is more than the plot world. Players can build in a large vanilla freebuild world, create private realms for friends, and visit a capital city with purchasable properties and an underground metro system. Long-running EDawg878-era builds and roleplay spaces are part of the network’s appeal.
What Makes It Different
CosmicX gives builders room normally reserved for staff projects: unlimited 512x512 plots, a 100-million-block WorldEdit limit, Axiom support, and powerful brush and painting tools. Its other unusual feature is continuity. Old EDawg878-era plots and builds remain part of the experience instead of being replaced by a new seasonal map.
Creative is a Minecraft building mode where players construct and test structures with unrestricted access to building materials instead of gathering them through survival play.
Creative plots and large-scale building are the network’s central activity.
Freebuild is a Minecraft building mode centered on creating structures and landscapes without a required combat, quest, or level-progression path.
CosmicX offers a large open vanilla world for building outside the plot system.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
Player-made roleplay locations and dedicated roleplay tools are a major part of the community.
The main activity is building on creative plots. Players can work on private projects, publish player-defined warps, create roleplay locations, or use the freebuild world for less restricted construction. Schematics can be uploaded and downloaded through the network’s builder tools.
Progression is project-based rather than a rank grind. Builders can take on larger projects, claim more plots, learn advanced editing tools, publish destinations, and move between plots, freebuild, private realms, and the capital city. The network rewards time spent creating rather than farming combat gear.
Builders have access to free WorldEdit, a large block limit, Axiom, goBrush, goPaint, Arceon, ezEdits, armour-stand customization, player warps, furniture, gadgets, particles, disguises, pets, chat colors, prefixes, and more than 50,000 decorative heads.
CosmicX combines a large creative plot world with a vanilla freebuild world, private customizable realms, and a capital city. The city includes property ownership and an underground metro or subway system. The plot world contains builds carried over from the older EDawg878 network.
PvP has been available as a selectable mode on the network, but combat is not CosmicX’s main focus. The strongest gameplay loop is building and roleplay, with PvP serving as an optional activity rather than the center of the server.
The clearest in-game economy is tied to the capital city, where players can buy and sell customizable properties. The network also has rules against manipulating or exploiting its economy systems.
Community events have included seasonal activities such as Easter egg hunts. The network also maintains a public changelog for ongoing server changes.
The community is strongly shaped by builders and roleplayers. Public warps, shared cities, long-running plots, and old roleplay spaces give players reasons to visit each other’s work instead of building in isolation. Discord is the main social hub, with a web form available for players who need another way to send feedback or reports.
CosmicX prohibits spam, excessive swearing, harassment, impersonation, hate speech, inappropriate content, dangerous hacks, economy exploits, lag machines, server advertising, doxxing, and attempts to bypass punishments. Players are expected to respect staff and other players.
Joining and using the core creative tools is free. The official Tebex store sells optional ranks, credits, and specialized items. Many cosmetic and convenience features are also available directly in-game without requiring a purchase.

History of CosmicX
EDawg878 was already running by June 2014, when a large future hub was being built for the server. Its early community was centered on creative plots, player-made roleplays, public builds, and social commands such as marriage and adoption.
By the mid-2010s, EDawg878 had grown beyond a small creative server. Community descriptions from that period mention large plots, plot protection, survival and PvP toggles, voting-based WorldEdit access, backups, rollback tools, and plans for a multi-server hub.
The creative world became the server’s lasting archive. Plot sizes reached 512x512, and the network developed a strong culture of public builds, roleplay locations, and player-defined destinations. Its legacy also reaches back to the pre-1.8 era through an old resource pack maintained for returning players.
Over time, the network’s building tools became much more advanced. WorldEdit access expanded, large block limits became available, and builders gained tools such as Axiom, goBrush, goPaint, Arceon, ezEdits, armour-stand editing, and large collections of decorative heads.
CosmicX was operating under its current name by July 24, 2024. The network kept its creative foundation while adding freebuild, private customizable realms, and a capital city with property mechanics and public transport.
In March 2026, EDawg878 was folded into CosmicX alongside ParadiseNetwork and DeadX. The merger brought several older creative communities together while preserving many long-standing plots and builds.
Today CosmicX remains a creative-first network with persistent building space, roleplay tools, open-world freebuild, private realms, and social city projects. Its history matters because the plot world is not just a fresh map; it carries years of player work into the current network.
