About Wee-Axe
Wee-Axe is made for building first. Players claim protected plots, work alone or with friends, and use a large set of editing and decoration tools instead of grinding through survival ranks. Small 100×100 plots and much larger 512×512 plots support everything from detailed interiors to full cities.
The network also has standalone building worlds, resource and material worlds, a live map, and community-made minigame or RPG builds. PvP and PvE can be enabled where players want them, but combat is not forced across the whole server. The world is designed for long-term projects rather than seasonal wipes.
What Makes It Different
Wee-Axe gives builders unusually strong tools without turning the server into a short-lived build contest. Large plots, standalone worlds, schematic transfers, and detailed decoration plugins all work together for long projects.
Freebuild is a Minecraft building mode centered on creating structures and landscapes without a required combat, quest, or level-progression path.
Players build freely across plots and standalone worlds with extensive editing tools.
Creative is a Minecraft building mode where players construct and test structures with unrestricted access to building materials instead of gathering them through survival play.
Creative building is the server's central mode.
CityBuild is a Minecraft building mode where players develop homes, businesses, and public spaces into connected urban districts.
Large plots and player-made cities are a major part of the building experience.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server is built around long-term worlds and projects rather than regular wipes.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
PlotSquared protects player-owned building areas and provides detailed permissions.
Claim a plot, invite collaborators, and build with WorldEdit, Axiom, Arceon, GoBrush, and GoPaint. Players can edit signs, banners, armor stands, heads, item displays, and other small details. Teleports, homes, plot visits, and a live map make it easy to move between projects.
There is no survival-style gear ladder. Progress comes from growing a project, combining plots, earning access to larger building spaces, and learning the server's editing and decoration tools. Standard plots are 100×100 blocks, while advanced plots reach 512×512 blocks.
Custom tools include FAWE, Arceon, GoBrush, GoPaint, Axiom, armor-stand editors, banner tools, decorative heads, invisible item frames, item editing, disguises, sitting and crawling, in-game piano, scripts, custom artifacts, guns, music playback, and NBT controls for creative builds.
The network uses several specialized worlds. These include standard plots, large plots, terrain and showcase worlds, a free-building world, and a material or resource world. Some large projects can receive separate worlds, while the live Dynmap covers the main building areas.
PvP and PvE are optional rather than server-wide requirements. Plot settings can control PvP, PvE, hostile attacks, invincibility, and other damage rules, so builders can create peaceful areas or combat-focused projects.
Community-made minigame maps, RPG plots, city projects, redstone experiments, and showcase builds exist alongside the main creative worlds.
The community is centered on Chinese-language creative play. Builders share cities, themed districts, redstone projects, interiors, music builds, and large personal worlds. The server is suited to both solo builders and players who want to join established projects.
Plot permissions let owners add collaborators, trust players with full editing rights, deny entry, remove access, and control interaction settings. Build actions are logged, plots are backed up during major operations, and protection systems cover non-plot worlds.
The server is free to join. Voluntary donations are offered to help support its operation, while core building features are available without a required subscription.

History of Wee-Axe
Wee-Axe was already running by 2014 as a creative Minecraft project. Its long-term focus has stayed on player builds, shared worlds, and giving builders room to work without a survival reset hanging over every project.
By 2020, the server had developed into a multiworld creative network with PlotSquared, WorldEdit tools, protection systems, custom building utilities, and separate worlds for plots, materials, terrain, and larger projects. The server also began treating build safety and backups as central parts of its design.
During August 2020, the network replaced its older protocol compatibility setup with ViaBackwards and ViaRewind, added dedicated protection for non-plot worlds, and prepared for the move to Minecraft 1.16.2. This made older clients easier to support while the main server moved forward.
In September 2020, the plot database was migrated and several plot-permission and interaction bugs were fixed. The server also increased its view distance while its player base remained small enough for larger sight lines.
The October 2020 1.16.3 update was a major technical step. A new official client was prepared, the plot system had been rebuilt, and the server entered a more stable phase. Further updates before the 2021 Spring Festival continued that work.
In early 2023, network changes temporarily affected the website, skin services, live map, and an attached survival service. The website, map, and skin features were restored in May 2023, while schematic upload and download tools remained separate from that interruption.
The current server runs on Java Edition 1.21.4, accepts Java clients from 1.9 through 1.21, and supports Bedrock connections through Geyser. Its current setup keeps the same builder-focused direction: persistent worlds, protected plots, large editing tools, optional combat, and room for community projects.
