About Simplex
Simplex keeps the focus on recognizable Minecraft survival: gather resources, build a base, explore, and cooperate in a PvE world without a stack of custom modes. A restrained set of convenience and protection systems, including land claims, homes, and teleport requests, supports a shared world where player builds and commerce can develop over time.
What Makes It Different
Simplex combines a deliberately limited plugin set with a long-lived survival world. Land claims and basic teleportation make cooperation practical, while the persistent map gives player shops, settlements, and older builds lasting value instead of treating every update as a fresh start.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.
Simplex preserves familiar Minecraft survival while adding a restrained set of protection, teleportation, and quality-of-life systems.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
The server is explicitly presented as PvE survival, with cooperative world activity taking priority over open player combat.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The main world is intended to remain in place without routine resets, preserving established builds, roads, shops, and landmarks.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server centers on gathering resources, building bases, farming, exploration, and ordinary survival progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a long-running multiplayer survival world where individual bases, settlements, commerce, and cooperation develop together.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Land claims are a major protection system for player bases, farms, storage, and other survival projects.
The server stays close to ordinary survival rather than adding classes, RPG skill trees, or several separate game modes. Land claims, homes, teleport requests, and anti-cheat support everyday play while the main activities remain mining, farming, building, exploration, and cooperation.
Progress is mostly self-directed. Players improve tools and bases through normal survival resources, expand protected areas, establish homes, and build up personal or shared settlements rather than following a heavily scripted level ladder.
Custom content is intentionally light. The server uses a small collection of protection and quality-of-life systems around an otherwise familiar Minecraft survival experience.
The main survival world is designed for continuity, with player bases, roads, shops, and landmarks remaining relevant over time. The End resets with major updates, while the main map is not routinely replaced.
Simplex is presented as a PvE survival server, so everyday play is not built around open combat. Arena matches have been part of the server's community event mix, but PvP is secondary to cooperative survival.
A player-run shopping district and auctions give gathered, farmed, or crafted items a route into player-to-player trade. The economy is tied to the survival world rather than being the main attraction of a separate economy mode.
Community activities have included weekly spleef, monthly arena matches, building competitions, and seasonal event areas. These add occasional structured activities without changing the server's survival-first identity.
Simplex is built around a long-running shared survival community, with older builds and established player projects forming part of the world’s character. Discord and the server forum are the main community and support channels.
The server's baseline is protected PvE survival, with anti-cheat and land claims supporting fair play and protected builds. Griefing, cheating, and harassment are not part of the intended ruleset.
The official store focuses on cosmetic perks and claim blocks. It does not advertise combat gear, instant-win items, or other pay-to-win advantages.
Player Auctions let players list items for sale, browse other players’ listings, and buy resources through an organized in-game marketplace.
Simplex supplements its player-run shopping district with auctions, giving gathered, farmed, or crafted goods another route into player-to-player trade.
Homes let players save personal locations and return to established bases or useful places more conveniently.
Simplex provides homes as a restrained convenience system, letting players establish familiar bases as reliable destinations in the survival world.
Teleport requests let players ask to move directly to another player, reducing travel time when meeting or regrouping.
Simplex includes teleport requests to support cooperation and movement between player bases while retaining approval between the participants.

History of Simplex
Simplex began in 2016 as its 1.0 server. The original map ran until July 2020, when the server moved into its 2.0 era after the first world had grown very large.
The 2.0 world has continued as the server's long-term survival setting. Its main world is intended to remain in place, while the End resets alongside major Minecraft updates, allowing the server to refresh access to late-game resources without routinely replacing established builds.
