Newwind makes survival risky: outside spawn, there are no land claims, and players can raid or grief bases. Clans, custom gear, quests, dungeons, and PvP events give players goals in a shared world where builds remain rather than being routinely wiped.
What Makes It Different
The danger changes with your location: most of spawn keeps your inventory on death, while wilderness deaths drop gear and combat-logging can be fatal. Outside spawn, no claims protect a base, and the main world is not reset, so old builds and routes persist alongside the risk of losing them.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Wilderness bases have no land-claim protection, and raiding and griefing are explicitly allowed.
Clans are player-organized teams that cooperate under a shared name, membership, and allegiance.
Players form clans for cooperation and compete in activities including control of Castle.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The main world continues without routine resets, preserving player builds, routes, homes, and items.

The Overworld, Nether, and End retain vanilla-style survival, with server-side systems adding quests, clans, custom gear, and other endgame goals. You can join with a standard Minecraft client. No client mods are required.
Daily quests offer currency and rewards, while more than 550 custom advancements track challenges, collections, timed goals, PvP, social play, and other progress. Advancement points unlock reward tiers, including cosmetics and some soul-bound items.
Server-side plugins add custom weapons and armor, called god items, with abilities beyond standard gear. Players can upgrade or sharpen equipment at dedicated tables, and an optional texture pack adds custom item textures. Custom dungeons and seasonal worlds add separate areas to explore and fight through.
The main survival world has no routine resets and no land claims outside spawn. Raiding and griefing are allowed, so bases can be attacked. Player-built highways and long-lived builds remain part of the world, while unused travel trails may be cleaned up.
PvP is allowed across the world. In the wilderness, you drop items on death, and logging out while combat-tagged can kill you. Spawn is different: most of it keeps your inventory on death, and PvP there requires a spawn tag. Clans can also fight for control of Castle.
Dragon eggs are the main currency, with embers and other currencies used for trading and upgrades. Players earn currency through activities such as quests, dungeons, voting, and looting, then trade through the auction house, player deals, or spawn traders. The auction house supports both listings and buyer-created buy orders.
Events include clan battles for Castle, seasonal activities, and other scheduled competitions. Newwind also runs a weekly 1v1 tournament, where players earn points across qualifier duels before the top four advance to semifinals and a final.
Players can form clans, trade, and use Discord voice channels for proximity chat. The Discord also connects to in-game chat.
Hacked clients and cheating are prohibited, as are abusing or hiding exploits, targeted harassment, doxxing, and trading server items for outside value. Raiding, griefing, and scamming players are allowed. Newwind is not a family-friendly server.
The store sells ranks, keys, and other items. Purchases are optional: gameplay items, ranks, and perks can also be earned through play.
Custom advancements add server-specific tracked objectives that give players additional goals beyond ordinary Minecraft achievements.

History of Newwind
Newwind opened in June 2019. Castle, a clan fight for control of a central stronghold, was the server’s first event and began on July 25 that year.
In 2024, Newwind combined its Hope and Oath servers into one Survival world, bringing their chunks, homes, and items together. The main world continued without a reset.
In 2026, Newwind 5.0 added a new advancement system with more than 550 challenges, auction-house buy orders, a weekly 1v1 tournament, and hundreds of seasonal item upgrades. The server also moved to Folia while keeping its single-world setup.
