About SolarCiv
SolarCiv puts Towny survival on a 1:320 Earth map with real-world geography. Pick a location, join or create a town, claim land, and grow toward a nation. Mountains, coasts, rivers, and ore hotspots matter because distance is part of the game.
Gold is physical here, so trade, taxes, expansion, diplomacy, and war use items players can carry. MCMMO, work contracts, custom recipes, brewing, and tabletop games add goals between building and politics. PvP is tuned around diamond gear, while SiegeWar gives nations scheduled battles over towns.
What Makes It Different
SolarCiv makes geography matter. With Nether and Elytra travel disabled, roads, rails, ice highways, coastlines, and mountain passes can shape trade and war. Its other standout feature is physical gold: wealth can be carried, taxed, traded, stolen, or spent on expansion.
Geopolitical servers organize Minecraft play around player-run states that claim territory, manage borders, and compete or cooperate for influence.
Nations, diplomacy, alliances, enemies, territorial expansion, and real-world geography create a political multiplayer structure.
Earth servers use a Minecraft map based on real-world geography, giving building, travel, and settlement a recognizable setting of continents, countries, and cities.
The central world is a 1:320 recreation of Earth with real-world geography shaping settlement, travel, resources, and strategy.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Players create towns, claim chunks, manage plots and permissions, join nations, and develop settlements.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, craft, build, farm, explore, and survive in a persistent overworld.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server combines persistent survival progression, collaborative settlement building, trade, infrastructure, and social organization.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Open-world combat and specialized combat rules are significant parts of wilderness travel, town conflict, and nation warfare.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Physical gold funds trading, taxes, claims, projects, diplomacy, nation creation, and war costs.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Towny claims, plots, permissions, and protected quarters organize ownership and settlement development.
mcMMO is a Minecraft server skill system that grants experience for activities such as mining, chopping trees, fishing, and fighting.
MCMMO provides long-term skill progression through normal activities such as gathering and combat.
New players receive a temporary one-chunk Camp that lasts 24 hours. Use it for a bed, storage, and starter farms while you gather gold and choose a town.
A town costs 64 gold ingots to create. Towns claim 16x16 chunks, set permissions and taxes, divide land into plots, and join nations. Towns can also create shops, arenas, farms, inns, and more precise 3D Quarters inside their claims.
MCMMO provides long-term skill progression through normal play. Daily work contracts, mining, farming, trading, voting, events, and rare finds provide ways to build wealth.
Town progression leads into nation play. Creating a nation costs 1,024 gold ingots in the town bank, and larger nations gain more claim capacity. Nation ranks let players handle diplomacy, finances, recruitment, and military duties.
SolarCiv adds custom recipes across crafting tables, furnaces, smokers, blast furnaces, and stonecutters. Recipes can turn common materials into useful items such as saddles, name tags, ender pearls, rails, building blocks, and decorative resources.
The server also includes BreweryX-style drink making, custom combat tuning, MCMMO, 3D Quarters, and other plugins built around Towny and Earth gameplay.
The main world is a 1:320 recreation of Earth with realistic terrain, represented biomes, and geography that affects settlement and strategy. Ore distribution includes regional hotspots, extra deposits, fossils, and biome-specific resources.
Long-distance travel uses player infrastructure. Roads, rails, ice highways, boats, horses, minecarts, canals, and nation spawns connect settlements. Nether travel and Elytra flight are disabled to keep the overworld meaningful.
PvP can happen in wilderness and can be enabled or disabled inside towns. Towny claims protect buildings, but wilderness travel and open routes still carry risk.
Combat is balanced around diamond gear rather than Netherite. Shields, milk cleansing, knockback cooldowns, combat tagging, and HCF-style ender pearls all affect fights. SiegeWar adds organized nation battles with banner control, kill points, military ranks, and keep inventory during sieges.
Gold ingots are the main currency and exist as physical items instead of an invisible balance. Players can carry, trade, store, display, tax, or steal gold.
Gold pays for towns, land claims, nation creation, taxes, projects, diplomacy, mercenaries, and war costs. Town shop plots and chest shops support player-run markets, while rare resources, building materials, gear, enchants, food, and services can all become trade goods.
SiegeWar is the main structured activity. Battle sessions last 90 minutes and run through weekend windows, with additional Friday sessions. Nations fight for banner control and battle points across several sessions.
Gold rewards also come from voting, milestone rewards, competitions, community challenges, and other server activities. Chess, Checkers, Connect 4, and Uno provide smaller social activities outside the main survival game.
SolarCiv is built around towns, nations, diplomacy, and real-world geography. Town boards, nation ranks, alliances, enemies, public spawns, shops, roads, and shared infrastructure give groups reasons to organize beyond simple base building.
The public staff team includes owner Shanka, lead developer Marsonus, head admin QueeenH, admin CloverBlond, and head moderator flowerBoy1991. Discord is the main community and support hub.
Cheat clients, x-ray, free cam, unfair PvP mods, autoclickers, macros, exploit use, duping, DDoS attacks, bots, and lag farms are prohibited. Only one account per player is allowed.
Global chat is English-only, while other languages can be used in local, town, nation, party, or private channels. Claimed towns and nearby builds are protected from proximity grief, lava and water casts, major terrain destruction, and destructive griefing. Raiding and stealing are allowed through Towny and war mechanics.
Town and nation names must match real-world geography and fit the location where they are created. Spawn camping, TP killing, log-off camping, shop traps, and repeated kill-camping are prohibited.
The server is playable without purchasing access. The official store offers support subscriptions, including a Gold rank, along with cosmetic player-head collections and seasonal-style decorative bundles. Purchases are handled through the separate SolarCiv web store.
A physical-item economy uses tangible Minecraft items as money that players can carry, store, exchange, tax, or risk losing.
Gold ingots are SolarCiv's main currency and pay for towns, claims, taxes, nation creation, diplomacy, projects, shops, and war.
Siege warfare systems organize conflicts between settlements or factions around formal battles, objectives, scoring, and strategic territorial pressure.
SolarCiv's SiegeWar uses banner control, battle points, military ranks, scheduled sessions, and multi-session battles between nations.
Scheduled battles are organized PvP conflicts that occur during defined time windows rather than only through spontaneous encounters.
SiegeWar battles run in 90-minute weekend sessions, including additional Friday windows, with outcomes spanning multiple sessions.
Restricted dimension travel limits access to normally available shortcuts or dimensions, making ordinary-world routes more important.
Nether travel and Elytra flight are disabled, so players rely on roads, rails, ice highways, boats, horses, and minecarts.
Starter camps provide new players with temporary protected space while they gather resources and prepare for permanent settlement.
New players receive a one-chunk Camp protected for 24 hours, intended to bridge the start of play and joining or founding a town.
A gear-limited combat environment centers PvP balance around a defined equipment tier rather than unrestricted access to the strongest gear.
SolarCiv tunes combat around diamond gear instead of Netherite, with modified shields, knockback, milk cleansing, and ender-pearl movement.
Player-built transport networks connect settlements through constructed routes and infrastructure instead of relying only on default travel options.
Roads, rails, ice highways, canals, boats, horses, minecarts, and nation spawns connect distant towns across the Earth map.
Regional resource variation places valuable materials in particular geographic areas, making location and travel meaningful to gathering and trade.
SolarCiv's Earth map includes regional ore hotspots, extra deposits, fossils, and biome-specific resources that influence settlement choices.
Server-added crafting recipes that create or modify available items beyond Minecraft’s standard recipe set.
SolarCiv adds recipes across crafting tables, furnaces, smokers, blast furnaces, and stonecutters for items including saddles, rails, and building resources.
Quarters are fine-grained settlement subdivisions that provide more precise spatial organization inside a larger claimed area.
SolarCiv towns can create three-dimensional Quarters inside their claims for more precise internal land organization.
Combat tagging temporarily marks players engaged in combat, discouraging them from escaping through logout or immediate teleportation.
Combat tagging is one of SolarCiv's explicit PvP rules, alongside knockback cooldowns, modified shields, milk cleansing, and HCF-style pearling.
Work contracts give players tracked activity-based tasks that provide additional goals or rewards beyond unrestricted resource gathering.
Daily work contracts supplement mining, farming, trading, voting, events, and rare finds as ways to build wealth.
A custom brewing system that expands Minecraft’s ordinary drink-making with additional recipes or consumable effects.
The server includes BreweryX-style drink making as additional crafting and progression content alongside survival and Towny systems.
Tabletop minigames provide compact recreational activities with simple competitive rules separate from the server's main survival progression.
Players can play Chess, Checkers, Connect Four, and Uno as smaller social activities outside settlement building and warfare.
History of SolarCiv
SolarCiv's current Earth and Towny iteration was running by late 2025. Its early pitch combined a large-scale Earth map with towns, nations, MCMMO, physical gold, brewing, and nation warfare.
The server's first major development phase focused on making its combat system fit an SMP and Diamond Pot style. Shields, knockback, milk cleansing, combat tagging, and ender-pearl movement were all tuned instead of leaving vanilla combat untouched.
By January 2026, SiegeWar had become the main technical focus. The system was built around king-of-the-hill battles, banner control, battle points, military ranks, and multi-session weekend wars rather than destructive free-for-all raiding.
The SiegeWar ruleset developed around 90-minute battle sessions, short capture timers, cooldowns after successful sieges, opt-in conquest and plunder goals, and keep inventory inside siege battles. Towny protection and war mechanics were designed to work together instead of treating claims and PvP as separate systems.
Travel also became part of the server's political game. Nether and Elytra travel are disabled, while player-built roads, rails, ice highways, faster horses, and faster minecarts connect towns across the Earth map.
The server now combines a persistent geopolitical survival world with detailed Towny management, a gold-driven market, MCMMO progression, custom crafting, scheduled warfare, and a community built around real-world locations.
