About OberonSMP
OberonSMP puts ordinary survival under pressure from player hunting and raids. You gather resources, build and defend a base, choose whether to play alone or with a team, and compete for power through gear, money, ranks, and successful fights. The current server season is Season 3, with Java and Bedrock players sharing the same survival network.
What Makes It Different
OberonSMP makes PvP and raiding central to the survival experience instead of treating them as optional side activities. Base security, team alliances, and timing matter as much as mining and equipment, so building up always carries the risk of becoming someone else’s target.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Players are encouraged to attack rival bases, breach defenses, and compete for stored loot and resources.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The shared Season 3 survival map retains player bases, territory, rivalries, and defensive changes across ongoing play.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is explicitly presented as a multiplayer survival server where players build, gather, and progress together in a shared world.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Mining, farming, exploration, equipment upgrades, base building, and surviving hostile conditions form the foundation of play.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player hunting and combat are central progression activities rather than an optional side mode.
The main loop combines standard survival work with player-driven conflict. Players mine, farm, explore, build bases, protect valuable items, hunt opponents, and organize with teammates. The server is designed for both solo players and groups, with survival progress feeding directly into PvP and raids.
Progress comes through better equipment, accumulated wealth, rank advancement, and stronger control of your base and resources. Teams can divide work between gathering, building, scouting, and combat, while successful fights and raids can accelerate access to wealth and gear.
Proximity voice chat is part of the server’s setup, giving nearby players a way to coordinate while mining, traveling, defending bases, or preparing attacks.
The server runs a shared survival world in Season 3. Players establish bases, develop territory, and create rivalries around the same persistent map, with raids and defensive building shaping how safe different areas feel.
PvP is a central part of the server rather than a separate arena activity. Players need to decide when to fight, when to hide their base, and how much gear to risk. Hunting opponents and defending stored loot make positioning, preparation, and teamwork important.
An in-game economy adds another route to progression alongside mining and combat. Money and ranks give players longer-term goals as they build up resources and improve their standing on the server.
The Discord community is used for support, news, and giveaways, while in-game teams and rivalries provide the main social structure. Players who enjoy coordinated survival and competitive group play have more to do here than players looking for a purely solo world.
The official store sells optional ranks and crate keys. Purchases are delivered automatically through the store, and rank benefits are presented as permanent perks unless suspended during an active ban.
Base defense involves designing, fortifying, and protecting a player or group’s structures against attacks and unauthorized access.
Players must protect bases and stored loot from rival hunters and raiders, making defensive construction and concealment important parts of progression.
Team systems let players cooperate under a shared group identity while dividing work and pursuing common goals.
OberonSMP supports team-based survival, with players sharing gathering, building, scouting, combat, and raid responsibilities against rival groups.
Rank progression lets players advance through server ranks that provide recognition, access, or other gameplay and community benefits.
OberonSMP uses ranks as a longer-term progression goal alongside money, equipment, and successful combat or raiding.
