About sVanilla Survival
sVanilla Survival is a long-term survival SMP built around freedom rather than protection systems. There are no land claims, so bases can be hidden, raided, griefed, defended, or abandoned. Helpful commands such as /home, /sethome, /spawn, /tpa, and /ignore keep the server practical without turning it into a heavily customized mode.
The combat rules push fights toward swords, axes, bows, and ordinary survival gear. Crystal PvP is disabled, and the world does not reset. Players can settle far from spawn, trade directly with one another, build technical projects, or form groups for raids and rivalries. Java and Bedrock players share the same server through crossplay.
What Makes It Different
The server removes the two systems that make many modern survival servers feel safer or more scripted: land claims and crystal PvP. Your base must be protected through distance, secrecy, allies, or clever building, while most fights return to swords, axes, bows, and movement.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.
The server keeps ordinary Minecraft survival while adding limited commands, crossplay, and combat rules.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Players can attack, grief, and steal from rival bases because there are no land claims.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The current map is permanent and does not follow a regular reset cycle.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is a shared survival world focused on building, exploration, resources, and player conflict.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share one long-term multiplayer survival world.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Open player combat is a major part of survival and raiding.
Players share one persistent survival world with no protected claims. You can build anywhere inside the world, hide valuables, cooperate with others, raid bases, or create your own settlement. Teleport commands make long-distance survival easier without removing the risk of open-world play.
Progression comes mainly from normal Minecraft survival, personal projects, exploration, technical farms, and relationships with other players. There is no large RPG class system or scripted rank ladder. Useful gear and rare resources gain value through player trading and negotiation.
The server stays close to vanilla Minecraft. Its main additions are quality-of-life commands, crossplay support, combat rules, and approved client-side utilities. Cosmetics, performance mods, Litematica without printer features, Distant Horizons, inventory sorting, and fair-play minimaps are allowed under the published mod rules.
The map is permanent and the current world began on May 6, 2023. The server uses a large world layout, with a 300,000-block Overworld border and 100,000-block Nether and End borders. There is no land-claim system, so distance and player defenses matter more than protected chunks.
PvP is open and closely tied to survival. Crystal PvP and respawn-anchor combat are disabled, while swords, axes, bows, and ordinary armor remain important. Combat tagging, no elytra during fights, patched breach swapping, and an eight-second totem cooldown shape the current combat style.
The economy is based on direct player trading rather than an economy plugin. Players exchange resources, gear, services, and valuable builds through barter and negotiation. There is no server-backed cash system described as the main way to buy progress.
The community is built around shared survival, trading, rival groups, raids, and open-ended player projects. Discord provides the main social and support channel. The /ignore command is available for chat conflicts, while the rules allow a rough competitive atmosphere without allowing harassment, threats, or attacks on the community.
Hacked clients, exploits, X-ray, wallhacks, freecam, entity trackers, unfair macros, packet manipulation, and other advantage-giving modifications are prohibited. Doxing, cyberattacks, death threats, staff impersonation, spam, server advertising, punishment evasion, and lag-generating builds can lead to bans. Buying or selling in-game items for real money is forbidden.
The official store sells ranks to support the server. Store ranks are cosmetic and are not intended to provide gameplay advantages. The published store also describes server infrastructure, domains, plugins, promotion, and future expansion as supported costs.

History of sVanilla Survival
sVanilla Survival was founded on August 16, 2019 as a fast, free, simple semi-vanilla survival server. Its starting idea was to keep the game close to ordinary Minecraft while leaving players room to build, fight, trade, and make their own rules within a fair-play framework.
The current map began on May 6, 2023. Instead of following a short seasonal cycle, the server kept the map permanent, allowing bases, roads, farms, ruins, and large technical builds to remain part of the same world over time.
As the server developed, it added convenience commands without shifting toward a large plugin-heavy network. Homes, teleport requests, spawn access, and player ignoring reduce travel and chat friction while the core survival loop stays recognizable.
Its combat direction became one of the server's clearest defining choices. Crystal PvP is disabled, while melee weapons and bows remain central. Combat restrictions such as no elytra during fights, combat tagging, and an eight-second totem cooldown keep encounters focused on direct fighting rather than explosive crystal tactics.
The present server combines that old-school survival approach with Java-Bedrock access, a large permanent world, direct player trading, TNT duplication for technical builds, and cosmetic-only store ranks. The result is an open survival world where player decisions shape most of the danger and development.
