About NebulaMC
NebulaMC combines a modded Pixelmon world with a separate Skyblock mode. In Pixelmon, catch, train, breed, and battle Pokémon while exploring, completing hunts, and working through gyms and Pokédex ranks. Skyblock turns the network into an island-building challenge with PvE content and missions.
Its strongest hook is the amount of server-made progression around Pixelmon. Custom Pokémon, item collections, modifiers, Dynamax Adventures, player gyms, and regular events give collectors and battlers goals beyond ordinary survival.
The two modes suit different players. Pixelmon uses a dedicated Java modpack, while Skyblock supports Bedrock crossplay. Clans, chunk claims, and an in-game economy make long-term building more social and practical.
What Makes It Different
NebulaMC feels like a Pokémon RPG inside Minecraft. You can chase Pokédex ranks, custom Pokémon, gyms, quests, and special adventures instead of following only the usual survival path.
It also gives the same community a second mode: a custom Skyblock world that welcomes Bedrock players.
Pixelmon brings Pokémon into Minecraft, letting players find, catch, train, evolve, and battle them across a block-based world.
Pixelmon is the network's defining game mode and supports the main collection, battle, and exploration experience.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
The Pixelmon mode requires a dedicated custom client pack and NeoForge-based mod setup.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
NebulaMC has a dedicated Skyblock mode with islands, missions, PvE content, and custom progression.
Pixelmon players explore the world, catch Pokémon, build teams, breed new ones, and search for rare encounters. Hunts and bingo add short goals between longer adventures.
Skyblock players start on an island and expand it through PvE activities, missions, crafting, and resource management. A tutorial and PvE island help new players learn the mode.
Pixelmon progression includes Pokédex ranks, achievements, a Battle Pass, hunts, bingo, gyms, playtime rewards, and Pokémon modifiers. Completing the Pokédex can unlock rewards and higher ranks.
Skyblock progression uses island missions, cluescrolls, custom crafting systems, loot rewards, and island development.
Custom content includes special Pokémon, item collections, Pokémon modifiers, Dynamax Adventures, custom menus, cosmetics, and a NebulaMC resource pack.
Skyblock adds custom engravings, an item forge, cluescrolls, loot chests, island missions, and vote streak rewards. The official client pack also bundles JourneyMap and other convenience tools.
Pixelmon uses an adventure and survival-style world with towns, player homes, clans, and chunk claims. Ultra Space can be reached through randomly appearing tunnels, special Pokémon, or player warps.
Skyblock uses separate islands with PvE areas and progression systems built around expanding and improving each island.
The main competitive play is Pokémon battling. Players can challenge NPC gyms and player-run gym leaders through the gym system. The available public information does not clearly define separate Minecraft combat rules for every world.
NebulaMC has an in-game economy with customized NPC shops and Pokédollars. Players can earn rewards through gameplay, events, missions, voting, and Pokémon progression.
Event coins can be spent in the event shop, while Skyblock adds island-focused rewards and trading goals.
Hosted events use short minigames with changing schedules. Players can earn event coins, buy prizes from /eventshop, and compete for special event tags.
Pixelmon activities also include hunts, bingo, tournaments, gym challenges, Battle Tower content, and community-hosted events.
NebulaMC maintains a Discord community with support tickets, voice chats, event announcements, news, and a marketplace. The team page lists owners, network management, development, Pixelmon management, events, moderation, gym, build, and vanilla roles.
The official store sells ranks, rank upgrades, crate keys, perks, gift cards, and rank transfers. Paid ranks can add homes, Pokémon healing, remote storage commands, flight, kits, keys, Poké Balls, Pokémon modifiers, spawn items, and other gameplay conveniences.
The server is free to join, but players who want a strictly cosmetic store model may find the paid progression advantages unsuitable.

History of NebulaMC
NebulaMC began as a Pixelmon-focused Minecraft server in 2016. Its early identity centered on a large adventure and survival world where players could catch Pokémon, explore, and build a lasting home.
The network expanded beyond basic Pixelmon with an economy, NPC shops, quests, RPG-style skills, custom rewards, and land protection. Clans became part of the claiming system, letting players protect 16×16 chunks and work together on shared bases.
Pixelmon progression also became more structured. Hunts, bingo, Battle Tower challenges, Pokédex ranks, achievements, player gyms, NPC gyms, legendary encounters, and hosted events gave players goals beyond collecting Pokémon in the wild.
A dedicated Skyblock mode later broadened the network. Its island gameplay added tutorials, PvE islands, custom engravings, an item forge, cluescrolls, loot chests, island missions, vote rewards, and Bedrock compatibility.
NebulaMC continued modernizing its Pixelmon client setup as the mod moved forward. The current NebulaMC pack targets Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge and includes a custom resource pack, custom Pokémon content, updated menus, cosmetics, JourneyMap, and performance-focused client tools.
Today, NebulaMC remains a two-mode network built around Pixelmon collection and competition, with Skyblock providing a more traditional island progression path. Its long history, custom systems, and shared community make it feel closer to a persistent Pokémon-themed game world than a plain modded survival server.
