About GospelCraft
GospelCraft turns Towny survival into a Christian-themed Minecraft world where players build settlements, protect land, work Jobs, develop mcMMO skills, and encounter custom biblical content. Its identity comes from combining ordinary survival progression with scripture-focused areas, custom NPCs, themed items, and a faith-oriented community.
What Makes It Different
GospelCraft's main distinction is the way its server content is tied to Christian and biblical themes rather than being a neutral Towny world. Custom NPCs, themed locations, renamed items, artwork, and enemies such as the Goliath sword and serpent models give the survival world a specific religious setting.
mcMMO is a Minecraft server skill system that grants experience for activities such as mining, chopping trees, fishing, and fighting.
mcMMO provides ongoing skill progression through mining, combat, gathering, and other recurring survival activities.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Towny is a central system for founding settlements, protecting land, managing residents, and organizing shared builds.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
Jobs reward players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities as part of the server's progression.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, build bases, fight hostile mobs, and progress through a cooperative survival world.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Towny land protection and resident-controlled plots give players protected areas for settlements and shared projects.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Custom mobs and hostile encounters are a substantial part of the server's survival gameplay and progression.
The main experience is cooperative survival with Towny settlement management. Players establish towns, claim and protect land, build alongside other residents, gather resources, fight hostile mobs, and use server systems such as Jobs and mcMMO while exploring custom biblical content.
Jobs reward regular Minecraft activities, while mcMMO skills provide longer-term progression through mining, combat, gathering, and other survival work. Ranks and custom content add additional goals beyond simply improving equipment and expanding a town.
Custom mobs, programmed NPCs, themed items, Christian artwork, custom models, and a dedicated resource pack extend the server beyond standard survival. The resource pack renames or redesigns systems such as the enchantment table, brewing stand, and cauldron to fit a medieval and faith-focused setting.
The world is organized around player settlements and protected Towny land, with themed areas and custom locations connected to the server's biblical setting. Public update material has highlighted places such as the Garden of Eden and an Israelite Camp.
An in-game economy supports buying, selling, player trading, and shop-based activity. Public server information also lists player shops and auction-style trading tools alongside Jobs and rank progression.
Community activities have included Bible studies and server-run activities alongside regular survival play. The server has also used themed content updates to add NPCs, locations, and custom encounters.
GospelCraft is built around a faith-oriented community and presents itself as welcoming to players who are curious about Christianity as well as players who already share that background. Towns, shared builds, staff support, and Discord-based communication are central to the social side of the server.
Players are expected to treat others respectfully and avoid cheating, exploits, griefing, stealing, excessive advertising, and disruptive chat behavior. Town protection and community conduct are important parts of the server's survival environment.
A biblical world uses locations, characters, objects, and visual themes drawn from Christian or biblical settings.
GospelCraft presents areas such as the Garden of Eden and Israelite Camp alongside Christian artwork and scripture-focused content.
Custom mobs add server-created creatures or enemy variants with encounters beyond ordinary Minecraft hostile mobs.

A server-provided resource pack changes Minecraft’s visual or audio presentation with custom assets tailored to the server experience.
GospelCraft provides an owner-authored pack with Christian artwork, Hebrew alphabet visuals, custom enemy and NPC assets, and themed models.
Custom NPCs are server-created characters that provide interactions, information, services, or structured objectives within the world.
GospelCraft uses programmed NPCs in themed locations, including an Israelite Camp NPC at the 1samuel17 warp.
A Christian community centers social interaction and server identity around Christian beliefs, themes, or shared faith-oriented activities.
GospelCraft presents itself as welcoming to curious and practicing Christians, with faith-oriented community interaction alongside survival play.

History of GospelCraft
GospelCraft was publicly listed by July 4, 2018. Earlier descriptions presented it as a Christian SMP built around survival, Towny, custom plugins, and a long-term plan to turn biblical stories and locations into playable content.
In September 2024, the server documented an update to Minecraft 1.21.1 that added an Israelite Camp NPC at `/warp 1samuel17`, restored invisible item frames, and promoted staff members. A companion GospelCraft resource pack published in November 2024 and updated in July 2025 expanded the visual identity with faith-themed item names, Christian artwork, custom models, and separate assets for custom enemies and NPCs.
