About PrismaCraft
PrismaCraft runs three distinct modes: Towny, SMP, and Creative. Towny is the deeper adventure side, with jobs, custom resources, dungeons, brewing, fishing, pets, towns, and collectible Codex systems. Creative offers a separate space for building without survival pressure.
The SMP takes a quieter route. There is no /home, /spawn, or /tpa, so railways and player-built connections matter. Claims, diamond-based trading, minecart trains, voice chat, and small vanilla-friendly tweaks make it feel closer to a survival server shared with friends than a command-heavy network.
What Makes It Different
PrismaCraft has two very different survival moods under one network. Towny is packed with RPG-style systems and custom content, while SMP removes teleporting and most commands so roads, trains, claims, and player trade become important.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
Towny has twelve jobs with levels, earnings, leaderboards, cooldowns, and job modifiers.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Towny is a major network mode built around towns, claims, economies, jobs, and community development.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
Towny includes tiered dungeons with one-life runs, bosses, upgrades, fragments, skulls, and scaled rewards.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
SMP is one of the network's three main modes and has its own distinct vanilla-faithful gameplay.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The network's main playable modes are survival-focused, with resource gathering, building, exploration, and progression.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, server currency, diamond trading, and chest shops are important parts of Towny and SMP.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom ores, fish, mobs, foods, brewing, legendary gear, dungeon items, and cosmetics are central to the network's expanded content.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Both the Towny experience and the custom SMP system protect player-built areas through claims.
Towny is the main feature-heavy mode. Players join or build towns, use jobs to earn money, explore resource worlds, collect custom materials, and enter dungeons through the Catacombs.
SMP is more hands-on. Players travel on foot, claim land with a bell-based system, build railways, use minecart trains, and trade through chest shops. Creative provides a separate building-focused mode.
Towny progression comes from jobs, ranks, dungeon tiers, Codex milestones, custom gear, and collectible resources. Jobs level up to 100, with higher levels paying more money. Dungeons become harder while offering stronger rewards, upgrades, skulls, and fragments.
SMP progression is less menu-driven. Players improve their base, claims, transport links, gear, and trading network while exploring a large world. Tool cosmetics and server ranks add long-term unlocks without changing the basic survival loop.
Towny adds custom ores, fish, mobs, plants, foods, brewing recipes, pets, legendary items, dungeon rewards, and Codex collections. Players can also create custom pixel art with Artmap.
SMP keeps its additions smaller, with custom claiming, minecart trains, tool cosmetics, chain climbing, custom portals, armor-stand features, and other vanilla-friendly tweaks.
SMP has an 80,000 by 80,000 Overworld and 10,000 by 10,000 Nether and End dimensions. Teleport commands are disabled, so roads and railways are useful parts of the world.
Towny uses dedicated resource worlds for gathering materials. Both SMP and Towny have online map access, and SMP's map shows claims and player locations.
PvP is consensual. On SMP, both players must enable PvP with /pvp before fighting. The network prohibits forced PvP, cheating, exploits, macros, duping, and unfair modifications.
Towny uses server currency earned through jobs and other gameplay. Jobs include mining, farming, fishing, building, brewing, trading, enchanting, and fighting mobs.
SMP uses diamonds as its standard currency. Players can create chest shops that support buying, selling, bartering, or combined buy-and-sell setups.
Seasonal events have included the Prisma Boardwalk, daily quests, carnival minigames, scavenger hunts, event fish, temporary shops, limited cosmetics, and the Crab Cove boss dungeon. Towny has also received recurring legendary-item releases tied to resource-world resets.
Players can join the official Discord for chat, support, reports, and appeals. Global chat is English, while towns can create additional local rules for their own residents. SMP also supports Simple Voice Chat for nearby in-game conversation.
Players must be civil, avoid spam and advertising, use English in global chat, and follow fair-play rules. Hacked clients, unfair mods, macros, duping, exploits, scams, lag machines, and intentional griefing are prohibited.
Unprotected containers can still be looted, and unused builds can be claimed. Towny players must gather resources in resource worlds rather than stripping regular town worlds. One alternate account is allowed, with additional uses permitted for activities such as chunk loading and voting.
The official store sells server ranks, crate keys, cosmetics, and other support items. SMP cosmetics are decorative, including nicknames, titles, particles, item skins, sounds, and join or leave messages. Server ranks transfer between the network's modes, with some mode-specific perks.

History of PrismaCraft
PrismaCraft was already running by March 2022, with play.prismacraft.net appearing in established server tracking. Its public network structure later settled around three different experiences: Towny, SMP, and Creative.
Towny became the feature-heavy side of the network. It combines protected towns and an economy with jobs, custom resources, brewing, fishing, collectible indexes, pets, and other long-term systems. The mode continued receiving new items and content rather than staying as a basic Towny setup.
At the beginning of 2026, PrismaCraft prepared a new SMP designed to feel much closer to old-style vanilla multiplayer. The new mode launched on January 31, 2026, with a custom claims system, very few commands, no teleporting, physical trading, and a strong focus on roads and railways.
Towny also expanded with a tiered dungeon system. Players enter through the Catacombs, unlock dungeon access, face harder tiers, collect skulls and fragments, and improve their rewards through dungeon-specific upgrades. The Codex grew into a broader collection system covering ores, fish, mobs, plants, brewing, food, and dungeon achievements.
During 2026, Towny received recurring legendary-item releases alongside resource-world resets. These items included special weapons, tools, armor, and accessories with abilities beyond normal Minecraft gear.
Summer 2026 brought the Prisma Boardwalk event, with daily quests, carnival games, scavenger hunts, event fish, limited cosmetics, a temporary market, and the Crab Cove boss dungeon. PrismaCraft now combines that regularly expanded Towny experience with its simpler SMP and separate Creative mode.
