About LumaMC
LumaMC is a Towny survival SMP built around towns, nations, protected building, jobs, and player trade. Start with gathering and exploration, then create or join a town and grow it with other players. Main worlds are permanent, while resource worlds refresh each month.
What Makes It Different
LumaMC mixes long-term Towny building with a large set of small activities. You can run a town, paint map art, brew unusual drinks, fish for rare catches, and collect custom tools without leaving the survival world.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Town creation, claims, nations, taxes, plots, and outposts define the server's main structure.
mcMMO is a Minecraft server skill system that grants experience for activities such as mining, chopping trees, fishing, and fighting.
The server uses mcMMO skills, abilities, parties, and skill progression.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom tools, relics, Astral gear, fish, furniture, Mob Balls, event items, and Brewery content materially change survival play.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is centered on gathering, building, exploration, farming, combat, and long-term survival worlds.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a persistent survival world with towns, social chat, shops, community builds, and player-led projects.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, money, player shops, auction trading, taxes, voting rewards, and Lumins form a major part of play.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Towny claims are the main method for protecting land and building projects.
Use `/rtp` to reach the available worlds and start gathering materials. Create a town with `/t new <name>` or join an existing one. Towns can claim land, invite residents, create outposts, set taxes, manage plots, and join nations.
Jobs pay in-game money for actions such as mining, farming, building, fishing, hunting, brewing, and crafting. mcMMO skills improve as you play. In-game ranks unlock more job slots and other perks. Custom progression also includes Relics, Lunar Tools, Astral Tools, upgrade cores, and event gear.
Custom content includes resource-pack textures, furniture, map painting, Brewery recipes, custom fish, mob-capturing Mob Balls, player vaults and warehouses, custom tools, relics, Astral gear, tags, and cosmetic items. The resource pack is optional, but some visual features are hidden without it.
The main worlds do not reset, making them suitable for towns, farms, map art, and permanent builds. Resource worlds reset monthly for fresh mining and exploration. A separate Seasons World changes its colors, particles, date, and seasonal events with the real-world calendar in the NA-East time zone. The live map shows players, builds, and claimed regions.
PvP requires consent between players. A dedicated PvP area provides a place for friendly fights without losing items or experience. Outside agreed fights, the server's rules prohibit unwanted attacks.
Jobs provide the main starting income. Players trade through chest shops, player warps, and the auction house. Auction House access begins at Quantum or Arcane rank. The secondary currency, Lumins, comes from activities such as voting, daily rewards, and chat games.
Fishing competitions run every two hours and reward the top players for catching the most or biggest fish. Hoarder events reward players who sell requested items. Pinata Parties appear every 50 server votes. Seasonal events and the Lumarine 2026 program add temporary minigames, challenges, prizes, and building activities.
Players can use global, local, town, nation, trade, and Discord-linked chat channels. The Discord community supports announcements, account linking, event coordination, and help. Player warps also create public hubs for shops, farms, art galleries, and other projects.
Griefing, stealing, harassment, cheating, exploit abuse, unfair automation, and unwanted PvP are prohibited. Permanent builds belong in the main worlds because resource worlds reset. Builds and containers have protection systems, including Towny claims and automatically protected chests.
The store sells ranks, crate keys, tags, boosters, and other packages. In-game ranks can be earned with in-game currency. Store packages are either obtainable through normal gameplay or cosmetic.

History of LumaMC
LumaMC was operating by January 2024 with a Towny survival identity and a player-focused economy. Its early development centered on brewing, jobs, fishing, and growing the staff team.
During January and February 2024, the server expanded these foundations through updates to brewing, jobs, fishing, and job progression. It also introduced its first Luma event, giving the developing community a dedicated event experience.
LumaMC’s gameplay identity grew beyond its core survival systems through custom content. Custom resource-pack textures, ArtMap, furniture, Mob Balls, vaults, warehouses, tags, and custom tools became part of the server’s broader experience.
In March 2024, LumaMC ran an Easter event. This was followed by the Solstice summer event in July, which included job challenges and a mob arena. These events added seasonal activities alongside the server’s regular survival and economy gameplay.
The server continued building recurring community activities around its economy and progression systems. Fishing competitions run every two hours, while Hoarder events reward the top four sellers. Pinata Parties take place every 50 votes.
In 2026, LumaMC’s development moved into the Lumarine summer event. Lumarine includes multiple minigames and building activities, including a dedicated Lumarine building competition.
The 2026 development period also introduced a community representative program alongside the new minigames and seasonal activities. LumaMC’s current identity combines Towny survival, player-driven economic play, custom content, regular competitions, and community-focused events.
