About EcoSMP
EcoSMP is a semi-vanilla survival SMP built around towns, money, and long-term progress. Players earn through nine custom jobs, trade through player shops and auctions, and use their income to claim land, grow towns, and move through server ranks.
The world is designed to keep its history instead of wiping on a regular season cycle. Towns can join nations, build outposts, and manage daily upkeep, while boosted items and job rewards give regular survival tasks more depth. PvP is consent-based, so the server leans toward cooperative building, trading, and community projects rather than constant fighting.
What Makes It Different
EcoSMP makes ordinary survival work feed directly into the economy. Your job levels change what you earn, your items can boost those earnings, and your money pays for towns, ranks, shops, and expansion. The no-reset world also lets settlements and player businesses keep their history.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
Nine custom jobs provide money, level bonuses, and milestone rewards.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Towns, nations, plots, outposts, permissions, and upkeep are central systems.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
Chest shops, searchable listings, auctions, and player warps support a player-run market.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is fundamentally a persistent survival experience.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, money, trading, ranks, shops, and town upkeep drive progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a long-running survival world with community settlements and commerce.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Claimed plots, campsites, outposts, and town territory shape where players build.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The world is designed around long-term play without regular resets.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Boosted Items and personalized Legendary gear add server-specific progression.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
PvP is consent-based, making cooperative survival and PvE the normal experience.
Start with a temporary campsite for up to seven days, then choose a town or create one of your own. Use jobs, farming, mining, trading, shops, auctions, and player warps to make money. Towns and nations turn survival builds into shared projects with upkeep, permissions, and territory to manage.
There are nine custom jobs, and players belong to all of them by default. Job levels increase pay, provide money and Mystery Box key rewards, and continue beyond level 100. Server ranks provide another long-term goal, while Legend-rank players can buy personalized Custom Legendary Items for $2,500,000 in-game money.
Mystery Boxes contain 75 Boosted Items across five rarity levels. These items improve job income and can be combined in an anvil to reach higher rarities. The server also offers personalized Legendary tools and weapons, plus more than 70 customizable companion pets.
The main world is intended to persist without regular server resets. Towns receive claim plots based on their residents, can purchase bonus plots, and may create outposts for distant resources or spawners. Nations can unite up to ten towns and reduce upkeep while expanding claim and outpost limits.
PvP is based on mutual agreement. Trapping players in protected areas, baiting them into fights, or repeatedly targeting the same player is not allowed. Unclaimed builds in the wilderness can be looted, but malicious griefing around claimed areas is prohibited.
Money pays for land claims, town upkeep, ranks, and player trades. Players can combine jobs to increase earnings, such as farming crops, using them for animal work, and cooking the results. The economy includes chest shops, searchable player shops, an auction house, live auctions, advertisements, and player warps.
Server events can award Mystery Box keys. Keys can also come from job milestones and voting, giving active players another route to Boosted Items.
Discord is part of the normal EcoSMP experience. New players link their account with a four-digit code, while Discord is also used for reports, appeals, support, and optional player-shop notifications. Towns, nations, shops, and shared projects give the community reasons to cooperate.
The server bans cheating, alternate accounts, exploit abuse, AFK automation, malicious scams, offensive behavior, and intentional lag machines. Farms and redstone are generally allowed when they are not built to cause lag. Reports and ban appeals are handled through Discord tickets and dedicated appeal channels.
The web store offers VIP packages, keys, boosts, cosmetics, pets, Build Benefactor packages, and gift cards. VIP perks are focused on cosmetics, convenience features, and global boosts rather than direct combat advantages. Several Boosted Item rewards can also be earned through jobs, voting, and events.

History of EcoSMP
EcoSMP was operating by July 2022 as a cross-platform survival network with an economy, Towny-style towns and nations, custom jobs, player shops, ranks, and semi-vanilla gameplay. Java and Bedrock players were already being brought into the same community at that stage.
Its long-term structure grew around persistent settlements rather than seasonal resets. Players could protect land through towns, expand with connected claims or outposts, and work together through nations with shared benefits and lower upkeep.
The economy became more involved than a simple sell menu. Job levels affect income, milestone rewards provide steady goals, and player-run shops, auctions, advertisements, and the auction house let players build their own trade networks.
Custom progression added another layer through Mystery Box keys and Boosted Items. Items gained job bonuses, came in five rarity levels, and could be combined to create stronger versions. Players with the Legend rank could also commission personalized Legendary items using in-game money.
EcoSMP now combines that persistent Towny world with account linking through Discord, protected claims, consent-based PvP, custom jobs, player commerce, and a large collection of gameplay and cosmetic extras. Its current structure still favors players who want to invest in one long-running survival home.
