About DeSMP
DeSMP gives players two connected ways to play survival. The main world is built around gathering resources, claiming land, building a base and trading with other players, while a separate Lifesteal world turns player combat into long-term risk. Java and Bedrock players share the same server, with Season 1 currently underway.
What Makes It Different
DeSMP separates relaxed survival from high-stakes Lifesteal without splitting the community across different networks. Survival keeps bases protected through claims and supports trading, while Lifesteal gives every fight a lasting consequence by moving maximum-health hearts between players.
Lifesteal is a Minecraft PvP survival mode where player kills and deaths change a player’s maximum health.
A separate Lifesteal world transfers maximum-health hearts through player kills and temporarily eliminates players who reach zero hearts.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Claimed areas protect building, block breaking, and container access, while claim space expands through progression.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The main survival world preserves player bases, farms, claims, and other ongoing changes across visits.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The main server experience is shared survival with gathering, farming, mining, building, exploration, protected bases, and equipment progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players develop bases, gather resources, trade, and cooperate in a shared multiplayer survival world.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player combat is a major Lifesteal progression system where kills and deaths permanently affect maximum health during a season.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
The server supports a meaningful economy through marketplace trading, claim-related progression, Tokens, Shards, crates, and daily rewards.
The main survival world follows familiar Minecraft progression with a starter kit, random teleporting through /rtp, claims, farming, mining, building and exploration. Players can trade through the marketplace and use server systems such as crates, events and in-game menus. The Nether is open, while the End is reserved for a future community event. Creepers do not destroy blocks.
Survival progression comes from gathering materials, improving equipment, developing a protected base and expanding claim space. Lifesteal has its own progression and inventory, beginning at ten hearts and allowing players to reach twenty. Rankings track hearts and rebirths, while seasonal results are archived without removing tokens, cosmetics or champion titles.
DeSMP uses custom menus, crates, claim systems, Lifesteal mechanics, bounties, rankings and a server resource pack. The resource pack is required for the custom content, but no client mods are needed.
The main survival world is shared and persistent, with Java and Bedrock players occupying the same world and using the same marketplace and survival clans. Lifesteal has separate overworld, Nether and End dimensions, so its bases, items and hearts do not transfer to ordinary survival.
PvP is most consequential in the Lifesteal world. Each player kill removes one maximum-health heart from the victim and gives it to the killer. Reaching zero hearts causes a temporary elimination, normally lasting one week, and Lifesteal also includes bounties, separate combat teams and a safe castle spawn.
Players trade through the marketplace and can exchange survival resources with one another. Claim blocks, Shards, crates, Tokens and daily rewards form part of the wider server economy, while player earnings can support protection, progression and event participation.
The server runs organized events announced in chat and Discord. Published examples include TNT Run, Sumo and Spleef, with players joining through the event system when an announcement is active. The End is also planned to open through a shared event.
The server is built for a Dutch-speaking Minecraft community, with Dutch used throughout the menus, staff support and explanations. English is also permitted in chat. Players can cooperate through survival clans, trade with one another and use Discord for support and announcements.
The core rules require respectful behavior, no griefing, no cheats or x-ray, no spam or advertising, no scams, and Dutch or English in chat. Unclaimed builds are not protected, while claimed areas prevent other players from building, breaking blocks or opening containers. Staff have the final say on rule decisions.
Joining and playing are free. The server shop sells ranks and extras, while Lifesteal ranks can provide a one-time starting-heart advantage and, from Master upward, shorter elimination cooldowns. Crate keys and Tokens can also be earned in-game through activities such as daily rewards and events.
Temporary elimination removes a player from active play for a limited period after a severe gameplay loss.
In Lifesteal, reaching zero hearts normally removes the player from that world for one week while ordinary survival remains available.
Separate mode inventories keep items and progression isolated when players move between distinct server worlds or game modes.
Lifesteal uses separate inventories from ordinary survival, so bases, items, and hearts do not transfer between the two experiences.
Seasonal rankings compare player or group performance across tracked achievements during a limited competitive period.
Lifesteal rankings track hearts and rebirths, while completed seasonal results remain archived without removing Tokens, cosmetics, or champion titles.
An event-gated End keeps access to the End dimension restricted until a designated server event or milestone opens it.
The main survival End is currently closed and planned to open through a shared community event, while Lifesteal has its own End.
Bounties place rewards on players, creating targeted combat objectives beyond ordinary encounters and general player hunting.
The Lifesteal world includes bounties alongside heart-based combat, adding named targets to its competitive risk.
Claim expansion increases the protected area controlled by a player or group, usually through a resource, currency, or progression requirement.
Survival progression includes expanding claim space, with claim blocks forming part of the wider economy and base-protection loop.
Unclaimed-build vulnerability means structures outside protected claims lack the protection granted by a server's land-claim system.
DeSMP explicitly leaves unclaimed builds without claim protection, while claimed areas restrict building, breaking, and container access.
Creeper block protection prevents creeper explosions from damaging constructed terrain while leaving creatures and combat encounters server-defined.
Creepers do not destroy blocks in the main survival world, reducing explosion damage to player-built bases and terrain.
Random teleportation moves players to a randomly selected location, helping them reach unexplored areas without choosing exact coordinates.
The main survival world provides random teleporting through /rtp for reaching new areas beyond a player's established base.
