About SMPnir
SMPnir keeps the familiar survival loop of gathering, building, exploring, and improving gear, then adds a custom progression layer around it. Players level up, work toward powerful items that take longer to obtain, recover equipment through death chests, and join occasional night events featuring bosses and modified monsters.
What Makes It Different
SMPnir changes the pace of ordinary survival without replacing it. Netherite, maces, and other powerful milestones are deliberately harder to reach, while death chests reduce the frustration of dying and night events add bursts of danger through bosses and modified monsters.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.

Death chests preserve a defeated player's dropped belongings in a recoverable container after death.

History of SMPnir
SMPnir began as a server built for the owner's friends before becoming a public survival SMP. It kept that small-community character while adding custom plugins, leveling, death chests, teleportation, and event content.
By March 2026, the owner was still developing and updating the server directly, with new features shaped by player feedback. Its current identity remains a mostly vanilla survival world with custom progression and periodic PvE events rather than a collection of separate minigame modes.
