About OG Vanilla
OG Vanilla is a semi-vanilla survival SMP with a strong combat focus. Gather resources, improve your gear, use /rtp to leave spawn, and prepare for fights with spears, maces, and swords.
New players can claim a starter kit before heading into the wilderness. Teams and alliances add a social side, while farms and distant bases support longer-term survival. The server keeps familiar Minecraft survival at its core, but pushes players toward fast, skill-heavy PvP.
What Makes It Different
OG Vanilla puts spear-and-mace combat inside a survival world instead of separating it into a practice arena. You still mine, farm, and build, but trips outside spawn can quickly become fights.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The server presents itself as semi-vanilla and keeps the standard Minecraft survival loop.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.

Early progress comes from collecting resources and grinding gear. Teams can share farms and supplies while preparing for stronger fights. Keeping a base far from spawn gives you more room to develop.
The server keeps a semi-vanilla feel while adding convenience features such as /rtp, starter access, multiple homes, and commands including /playtime, /seen, /head, and /ping.
The main play space is a survival wilderness reached through /rtp. Players are encouraged to place farms and bases well away from spawn.
Mace, spear, and sword combat are the server's main focus. Spawn is a major place for fights. Crystal PvP is not allowed.
Teams and alliances are an important part of survival. OG Vanilla also has a Discord community for players.

The server is free to join. The store sells time-limited Snow Rank access, starting at $9.99 for 30 days, along with longer rank-token bundles. Perks include extra homes, colored or gradient names, utility commands, and keys.

History of OG Vanilla
OG Vanilla was running by January 17, 2026, when its play.ogvanilla.org address appeared as a survival server. Its early identity already centered on semi-vanilla gameplay, player combat, team play, and wilderness survival.
By May 2026, ogvanilla.org was also in use as a join address for the same server identity. The survival format remained focused on gathering gear, using /rtp to reach the wilderness, building away from spawn, and working with teams or alliances.
The server later sharpened its combat identity around spear, mace, and sword fighting. Today, OG Vanilla remains a lightly modified survival SMP for players who want familiar Minecraft progression with much more pressure from PvP.
