About Vanilla+
Vanilla+ is survival Minecraft with the safety rails removed. You gather resources, build a base, travel through a huge world, and prepare for fights that can happen almost anywhere.
What Makes It Different
The server feels like survival Minecraft played inside a constant Crystal PvP contest. Bases are personal projects, but they can also become targets.
Crystal PvP is a Minecraft combat style centered on placing and detonating End Crystals for close-range explosive damage.
Crystal combat is the server's strongest distinguishing gameplay focus.
Hardcore servers make death a severe, often permanent loss that can end a player’s run or remove them from active play.
The server presents itself as a hardcore survival experience with high-risk combat and no land claims.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Raiding bases and taking player loot are explicitly part of the intended experience.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is fundamentally a survival world with resource gathering, building, exploration, and base development.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Player combat is a central part of the server's identity and progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Its main experience is persistent multiplayer survival with teams, bases, trades, and community competition.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The server keeps the normal Minecraft survival foundation while adding server-specific systems and balance changes.
The main world uses Hard difficulty. Players can use random teleporting, homes, player-to-player teleport requests, and a protected spawn area. Farms matter, but many farm designs need server-specific adjustments.
PvP cycles track player levels and rankings. Voting unlocks additional home slots, with rewards reaching up to eight homes. Public leaderboards track points, kills, deaths, KDR, killstreaks, crystals, and anchors.
Vanilla+ uses a custom resource pack, server-specific commands, PvP statistics, token systems, and modified survival mechanics. Villager limits, mob behavior, hopper speeds, raid farms, and other technical systems differ from ordinary vanilla Minecraft.
The Overworld border covers 800,000 by 800,000 blocks. The End covers 500,000 by 500,000 blocks, while the Nether covers 200,000 by 200,000 blocks. The Nether roof is allowed. Spawn resets every half hour, and the server restarts daily.
PvP is central to the server. Crystal and respawn-anchor combat are major parts of the experience, with open-world killing and raiding encouraged. Spawn includes The Pit and a dedicated Mace PvP zone.
The server has an in-game balance and shop system. Legend Tokens can be bought, traded, gifted, spent in shops, or redeemed for Legend Rank. Player trades using /trade take place at spawn.
The Pit and the Mace PvP zone provide dedicated combat activities. Monthly leaderboards offer rewards including cash or store credit, Legend Tokens, keys, temporary ranks, and special gear.
The community is organized through Discord, in-game teams, account linking, public leaderboards, and player support channels. English is the primary supported language.
Cheating, duping, intentional lag creation, seed extraction, bug abuse, IRL trading, VPN use, alt-generation services, and unfair client modifications are prohibited. Hacking, radar, x-ray, freecam, macros, Baritone, VR, and other gameplay advantages are not allowed.
Legend Rank costs $14.99 for 30 days and provides queue priority, extra homes, additional commands, and cosmetic or convenience perks. The store also sells Legend Tokens and limited punishment-removal products.
History of Vanilla+
Vanilla+ took shape in 2021 as a survival multiplayer network with a strong combat identity. Its associated Discord server and domain were created on September 7, 2021, providing the early community with a shared meeting place and the play.vanillaplus.net address.
By October 31, 2021, the server’s survival setup had a deliberately open structure. Land claiming and grief prevention were absent, while PvP and raids formed part of the risk. Protected spawn offered a secure starting point, and homes and teleport requests supported movement across the world.
From the beginning, Vanilla+ combined survival freedom with player-driven conflict. The lack of keep inventory made encounters and raids consequential, while the available homes and teleport requests gave players practical tools for building and traveling within that harsher environment.
As its activity developed, the network also provided dedicated combat spaces. The Pit and the Mace PvP zone gave players focused places to fight beyond ordinary survival encounters, extending the server’s combat identity into structured activities.
Competition became part of the ongoing experience through monthly leaderboards. Rewards could include tokens, keys, ranks, gear, and cash or store credit, giving recurring recognition to players who performed well in the server’s activities.
The network also established boundaries around how competition should take place. Cheating, duping, intentional lag creation, seed extraction, bug abuse, unfair client modifications, and other prohibited advantages were ruled out. IRL trading, VPN use, alt-generation services, and VR were also prohibited.
Vanilla+ continues as a cross-platform network that intentionally supports both Java and Bedrock editions. Its present identity combines open survival, meaningful PvP, dedicated combat activities, and recurring competitive rewards while preserving rules designed to keep those systems fair.
