About SunSMP
SunSMP keeps survival building, exploration, and resource gathering at the center, then adds a substantial PvE side through handcrafted dungeons. Players work through puzzles, timed parkour, dangerous custom enemies, and boss encounters to earn special equipment, while a custom resourcepack expands the building side with furniture and decorative models.
What Makes It Different
Its dungeons are closer to handcrafted adventure scenarios than simple mob arenas. Runs can combine environmental puzzles, timed platforms, split-team routes, hidden lore, custom enemies, and multi-stage bosses before players reach the reward room.
Puzzles are Minecraft challenges in which players solve clues, patterns, and mechanisms to open routes, retrieve objectives, or advance through a sequence of rooms.
Dungeon progression uses environmental clues, puzzle objects, hidden routes, and mechanisms that players must interpret.
Parkour is a Minecraft movement challenge built around crossing obstacle courses with precise running, sprinting, jumping, and landing.
Dungeon runs include timed jumps, disappearing platforms, lava routes, and other movement challenges.
Dungeons are structured Minecraft challenges where players explore connected rooms, fight hostile mobs, overcome hazards, and reach a final encounter or objective.
Nine documented handcrafted dungeons combine combat, puzzles, hazards, parkour, bosses, and reward rooms.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is explicitly a survival multiplayer world where players build, explore, gather resources, and cooperate.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Core gameplay remains standard survival gathering, crafting, building, exploration, and base development.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Custom enemies, environmental hazards, and boss encounters make cooperative player-versus-environment combat a major activity.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Dungeon progression awards custom weapons, armor, bows, vials, and other equipment beyond ordinary survival items.
The main server loop is familiar survival Minecraft with extra reasons to leave a normal base routine. Alongside gathering, crafting, building, and exploration, players can enter dungeons containing custom mobs, puzzle rooms, parkour sections, environmental hazards, and loot encounters.
Dungeon clears provide custom progression items such as weapons, armor, bows, vials, and other combat rewards. Difficulty rises through stronger enemies, more demanding parkour, complex puzzles, multi-stage boss fights, and dungeons that require coordinated two-player routes.
Custom content includes decorative furniture, custom-coded dungeon mechanics, animated blocks, custom enemies, lore blocks, puzzle objects, timed platforms, special weapons, armor, and dungeon-specific rewards. The dungeon roster includes Abandoned Sewers, Fire Temple, Desert Hideout, Death Tower, Red Devil Shrine, Blazing Earth, Infested Lab, Wither Temple, and Zombie Cave.
The server preserves the core survival experience rather than replacing it with a separate minigame lobby. Building projects can be expanded with custom furniture and decorative models from the server resourcepack.
Seasonal events are part of the server's advertised rotation, with special dungeon content and limited themed furniture appearing as event rewards or promotions.
SunSMP is aimed at relaxed cooperative survival and dungeon groups rather than unrestricted player conflict. Its public server description emphasizes a friendly, no-griefing environment.
Griefing is prohibited, making protected building and cooperative survival a central part of the server's intended play. Dungeon runs also impose temporary restrictions on items and commands, including Elytra, Wind Charges, Ender Pearls, Chorus Fruit, and most teleport commands.
The official store sells optional ranks, in-game items, and crate keys. Store payments are described as supporting server costs and development, and purchases are marked as final.
Handcrafted dungeons are authored, themed challenge areas with deliberate layouts, encounters, puzzles, hazards, and rewards.
SunSMP offers nine named Zelda-inspired dungeons, including temples, towers, caves, and laboratories with authored routes and reward rooms.
Rewards obtained from completing dangerous dungeon content, giving successful exploration and combat runs tangible progression value.
Dungeon clears provide special weapons, armor, bows, vials, and named rewards such as Flameblade and Wither Boss Helmet.
Cooperative routes require players to coordinate movement, objectives, or access across connected sections of a shared challenge.
Some SunSMP dungeons require at least two players and use split-team progression, making coordination necessary to advance.
Multi-stage bosses are encounters that unfold through successive phases or battles, requiring players to adapt across a longer fight.
Several SunSMP dungeon encounters culminate in multi-stage bosses whose increasing demands form part of the dungeon progression.
Dungeon restrictions temporarily limit selected movement tools, items, or commands to preserve challenge and route integrity.
During dungeon runs, SunSMP disables Elytra, Wind Charges, Ender Pearls, Chorus Fruit, and most teleport commands.

Decorative furniture adds placeable furnishings that let players customize interiors, homes, or other built spaces.
