About SteadfastSMP
SteadfastSMP is a hard-difficulty survival SMP built around long-term worlds. There are no seasonal resets, so towns, farms, shops, and large builds are meant to stay. Java and Bedrock players share one world, and no whitelist blocks new players.
Death still matters. Keep inventory is off, but a protected death chest keeps your items safe for 72 hours. GriefPrevention claims protect land, while PvP normally stays off unless players choose to fight.
The custom systems improve vanilla without replacing it. Steadfast Markets supports offline sales, rechargeable tools speed up established players, and portable villager traders help technical builders. The Crown adds a server-wide PvP hunt for players who want extra danger.
What Makes It Different
SteadfastSMP lets players keep the danger of hard survival without making every death destroy months of work. Claims and 72-hour death chests protect long-term projects, while opt-in PvP and the Crown create fights only when players choose them.
Its market is also unusually hands-off. Players set prices, sell while offline, and compete through supply and demand instead of relying on admin shops.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server's defining promise is no resets or map wipes.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The server preserves vanilla survival, mob spawning, and trading while adding focused quality-of-life systems.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
GriefPrevention claims are a central protection mechanic.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server is fundamentally a hard-difficulty survival world.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The experience centers on a shared community survival world.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
The custom Steadfast Markets system is a major part of progression and trading.
The main world uses hard difficulty, vanilla mob spawning, and an eight-chunk simulation distance. Mob farms are intended to behave much like they do in singleplayer. Stackable spawners are available for more compact farm designs.
New players can join immediately without a whitelist or application. Starter claim blocks and community help make the opening phase less punishing, but the world still expects players to manage food, gear, travel, and risk themselves.
Progression is mostly self-directed. Players build up claims, farms, trading setups, and market stock rather than following a fixed rank ladder.
Playtime earns ranks and additional claim blocks. After reaching netherite gear, players can upgrade tools with rechargeable abilities such as 3x3 mining, vein mining, tree felling, 3x3 excavation, and 5x5 harvesting. Charges refill while offline or can be restored with rare items.
Custom content focuses on convenience, automation, and optional competition. Rechargeable tools add charged area-mining and harvesting abilities instead of free permanent powers.
SteadfastVillagers turns fully leveled villagers into portable trading blocks with preserved discounts, restocking, hopper support, and no pathfinding AI. FamilyLink adds parent-focused teleport, SOS, and death-respawn tools for families playing together.
The world is designed to persist for the long term, with no seasonal resets or map wipes. Players can use claims to protect important areas and the BlueMap site to explore the shared world from a browser.
The live map also displays the Crown holder, making the relic's location part of the server's competitive gameplay.
PvP is off by default and can be toggled with /pvp. Players can agree to fight without making the whole server dangerous for builders and farmers.
The Crown is the exception. Only one exists, and its holder receives Strength, Speed, extra health, and a visible map location. Carrying it forces PvP, prevents storage, and turns the holder into a target. Combat logging counts as death during the combat tag.
Steadfast Markets is a player-driven diamond economy with no admin shops. Sellers deposit items, choose their own prices, and continue making sales while offline.
Buyers can search listings, compare sellers, purchase any quantity, and draw from the cheapest available stock. Price history and sales records support players who want to trade seriously rather than rely on fixed server prices.
Community excavation projects give players a shared building task where everyone contributes to large-scale digging work. The Crown hunt also creates spontaneous competitive events whenever a player claims the relic.
SteadfastSMP is aimed at a small, friendly community rather than a crowded network. Parents can play with children, while other adults can use the server as a calmer survival home.
Discord is used for community chat, questions, announcements, reports, and appeals. Optional proximity voice chat lets nearby players talk without making voice communication mandatory.
Claims protect builds, but unclaimed land remains the owner's responsibility. Betrayals after using /trust, scammed trades, lost items outside claims, and agreed PvP deaths are treated as player risks.
Cheating, hacked clients, x-ray, exploits, auto-clickers, macros, hate speech, real-world threats, doxxing, and advertising can result in immediate bans. Clean chat, harassment, spam, claim etiquette, lag machines, and combat logging are also enforced.
SteadfastSMP is advertised as non-pay-to-win. Ranks come from playtime, and purchasable advantages are not part of the progression system.

History of SteadfastSMP
SteadfastSMP launched in February 2026 with a commitment to keep its world running for at least ten years. Its central promise was permanence: builds and progress would not disappear in a seasonal reset.
The server paired that long-term approach with hard survival. Keep inventory stayed off, but 72-hour death chests gave players a recovery window after dangerous deaths. Land claims added protection for serious builds without removing the risks of unclaimed land, trusted players, trading, or PvP.
As the server developed, it added custom systems that stayed close to normal Minecraft. Steadfast Markets made player trading work across time zones by allowing offline sales and automatic price comparison. Rechargeable tools added 3x3 mining, tree felling, vein mining, and auto-replanting after players reached the late game.
The server also introduced portable villager trading blocks. These preserve vanilla trades while reducing villager pathfinding, supporting hopper automation, and letting players move their trading setups more easily. The SteadfastVillagers project was released as free, open-source software.
The Crown became the server's main competitive feature. One Crown grants buffs but reveals its holder on the live map and forces PvP, turning a normally peaceful survival world into a temporary manhunt when someone claims it.
Today, SteadfastSMP remains a permanent Java-and-Bedrock survival world with family tools, a player-run economy, protected claims, optional proximity voice chat, and a small-community style. Its systems are designed to make a long-running SMP easier to live in without turning it into a minigame network.
