About SimMC

SimMC is a large Java survival world built around roleplay, towns, nations, and player-made history. You gather resources, claim land, build a home, join a nation, or create a community of your own.

Politics gives ordinary survival a bigger purpose. Trade can support an army, a port can become a city, and a border dispute can grow into a war. Custom terrain, original items, bosses, dungeons, and story events add adventure beyond normal Minecraft.

What Makes It Different

SimMC turns survival into a shared civilization game. Your base can become a town, your town can join a nation, and your nation can affect trade, borders, diplomacy, and war.

SimMC Gameplay

Begin with normal survival tasks such as gathering food, mining, farming, crafting, and exploring. Set a home, protect a piece of land, and decide whether you want to live independently or join an existing group.

The wider game opens through towns, nations, trade, roleplay, exploration, and server events. Players can run shops, organize services, build landmarks, join expeditions, or take part in battles and story scenes.

History of SimMC

SimMC began with a public introduction to a Minecraft world focused on nations, war, religion, and history on June 23, 2022. The first server opened on June 29, 2022, creating the era later known as sim1.

The original world ran on Minecraft 1.18.2 and quickly became known for its unusually large launch. Its initial capacity was only around 150 to 200 players, so the early period brought heavy congestion, instability, and repeated outages as interest surged.

After Uncle Sn left the project in February 2023, mm5522cc took over server leadership. The team renewed the server, tried new management approaches, and built experimental activities intended to keep the world active.

Those changes extended sim1's life but did not reverse its decline. Technical problems, limited funding, bugs, and a shrinking roleplay scene gradually weakened the original world. Sim1 finally closed in April 2024.

A successor project began internal testing on May 3, 2024. It introduced a new identity, a different setting, and a new calendar while keeping the broader idea of a player-driven simulated world.

The next major era developed through several expedition projects. A Greek-themed expedition opened on January 17, 2025, followed by a Shogunate expedition on May 1. The SIMMC3 main server opened on July 5, 2025, and the Hell Expedition began two days later.

SIMMC3 moved the community into a new world with fresh territory, new stories, and a renewed focus on nations, trade, and roleplay. Separate expeditions gave players additional war, exploration, and cooperative objectives without replacing the main world.

By 2026, the server had expanded its adventure systems with arcane equipment, spells, custom minerals, dungeon rooms, traps, bosses, and staged expeditions. Recent content also includes End-focused exploration and continuing dungeon storylines.

Today, SimMC combines long-term settlement with active fantasy storytelling. Its identity rests on the same central idea that shaped its history: players do not only visit the world, they help decide what happens next.
