About OreBound
OreBound turns Minecraft survival into a raft-building expedition across an endless ocean. Players hook floating debris, process it into water, food, and materials, expand a shared raft, and push into wider waters filled with storms, wrecks, sharks, and new resources. Crews can work together or play alone, with peaceful visits and no player combat.
What Makes It Different
OreBound removes the usual survival starting points. There is no mining, tree chopping, generator block, automation chain, or PvP. Everything begins in the water, and progression comes from growing a raft through twelve expanding ocean borders before choosing whether to Set Sail into a new ocean while carrying major parts of the build forward.
Clans are player-organized teams that cooperate under a shared name, membership, and allegiance.
Crews of up to ten players share raft development, roles, permissions, and progression, while solo play is also supported.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
Storms, sharks, wrecks, dangerous ocean regions, and environmental survival pressures provide the primary opposition.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather salvage, process materials, build and expand a raft, manage food and water, and survive escalating ocean hazards.
The main loop is hook, process, build, and defend. Barrels, crates, planks, and scrap drift toward the raft, then stations turn salvage into drinkable water, food, and ingots. Players lay foundations, place working stations, gather from the surrounding ocean, and reinforce the waterline against the shark that threatens later tiers.
Each voyage uses twelve border tiers, expanding from 48 blocks to 1,024 blocks from the raft. A Chart with three tasks unlocks the next tier, while fifteen research nodes improve machines and deck systems. At tier 12, a crew can vote to Set Sail, resetting the ocean while retaining the raft, machine vault, upgrades, and cosmetics. Later voyages can start at a higher tier, and completed voyages add a capped salvage bonus.
OreBound uses a server texture pack with custom models for machines, items, and cosmetics. Its custom systems include raft stations, research nodes, crew upgrades, pets, hull skins, figureheads, sails, flags, and voyage-specific points of interest.
The world is an ocean divided into twelve rings of increasing danger and opportunity. A full voyage includes 111 islands and wrecks, with named regions such as The Shallows, Gullwind Shoals, Stormwater, Riggers' Deep, Cinderwater, The Deep, and The Open Sea. New rings add storms, stronger sharks, wrecks, rare debris, and special locations.
There is no PvP or raiding. Visiting another crew's raft is peaceful, so conflict comes from ocean hazards, resource decisions, storms, and the shark rather than attacks by other players.
Salvage is processed into useful materials and trade goods, while crews exchange items with one another and a rotating merchant. The server avoids a global market and uses progression resources such as Scrip, Pearls, and Renown for different parts of the wider network.
Season 1 includes rotating boards that reset weekly, with trophies for the leading crews and players. Live events can be entered without leaving the active world, and the network also runs a seasonal pass with a free progression track.
Crews support up to ten players with shared roles and permissions, while the full progression can also be completed solo. Discord is used for finding players, announcements, bug reports, and support tickets.
PvP and raiding are not part of the server. Crew visits are peaceful, and the mode is built around cooperation, ocean hazards, and protecting the raft from environmental threats.
The server is free to play. The store focuses on cosmetics such as sails, flags, hull skins, figureheads, and pets, plus capped convenience that does not exceed a ten percent bonus and can also be earned in game. Crate odds are shown before opening, duplicates convert back, and the network does not sell Scrip, Pearls, Credits, exclusive gameplay power, research unlocks, border tiers, or Chart skips.
Salvage processing turns recovered debris and discarded materials into usable resources, supplies, components, or trade goods through dedicated workstations.
