About MeepCraft
MeepCraft puts long-term Towny survival at the center, with players building protected towns, managing plots and residents, earning meebles, and trading through a shared world. Around that settlement gameplay sits a broad collection of side activities, including parkour, TNT Run, mazes, Mob Arena, the Airship, and other returning minigames.
What Makes It Different
MeepCraft combines settlement-focused Towny play with a nostalgia-heavy arcade layer instead of keeping survival and minigames separate. A player can spend one part of a session expanding a town or managing its economy, then switch to parkour, an Airship loot run, TNT Run, or another classic activity.
Parkour is a Minecraft movement challenge built around crossing obstacle courses with precise running, sprinting, jumping, and landing.
MeepCraft offers a substantial collection of custom parkour maps and continues to add parkour content.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Town and settlement management is the server's central survival experience, including towns, residents, plots, permissions, taxes, banks, and nations.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
The redesigned Jobs system provides profession leveling and unlockable perks while also supplying income for the wider economy.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Meebles, jobs, trading, shops, taxes, town banks, plot purchases, and settlement expansion make the economy central to progression.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Towny plots protect settlements and control building, access, and other interactions across player-managed areas.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, build bases and towns, explore, farm, and develop long-term settlements in a shared survival world.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
Player-built towns, roads, shops, farms, and public facilities shape an ongoing shared world with long-term settlement progression.
The main world revolves around Towny: players join or create towns, claim plots, invite residents, set permissions, manage town finances, and work toward larger settlements and nations. Jobs, resource gathering, player shops, server shops, parkour, and minigames provide ways to earn money or take a break from town management.
Progression comes from building up personal wealth, improving a town, expanding claimed land, and leveling jobs. The redesigned Jobs system adds unlockable perks, while Towny taxes, banks, plots, and resident management give larger settlements their own ongoing goals.
Server-specific content includes the Airship, custom parkour maps, Jobs perks, disguises, vehicles, and returning activities such as Halo, Boomo, TNT Run, Splegg, Creepers on Ice, mazes, and Mob Arena. The Airship sends players to rotating maps for a short loot run filled with chests and hostile mobs.
The server's main experience is a shared Towny world where player-built settlements, roads, shops, farms, and public facilities shape the landscape. The Towny Classic return preserved the server's emphasis on recognizable towns and long-term community building.
PvP is tied to Towny and plot settings rather than being constant everywhere. Players need to pay attention to PvP-enabled areas, warnings, combat logging rules, and the difference between ordinary town plots and designated combat spaces.
Meebles are used across the server economy. Players can earn through jobs, selling resources, trading, and player shops, then spend money on plots, town expansion, services, and other upgrades. Town banks, resident taxes, and shop plots make economic management part of running a settlement.
Organized activities have included parkour competitions, weekly community events, custom-item prizes, and scheduled Airship runs. Events work as short objectives alongside the longer Towny and economy progression.
Community play is organized around towns, nations, resident-run shops, forum discussions, Discord activity, and in-game staff support. The server's long history and returning classic features give older players and new residents shared places and activities to revisit.
The rules prohibit hacked clients, unapproved mods, alt abuse, combat logging, spawn or ladder camping, scamming, luring, and other deceptive play. Real-money trading of in-game items is not allowed. Permitted client modifications include options such as OptiFine, Sodium, MinecraftCapes, TabbyChat, Litematica, and limited HUD mods that do not reveal player or entity locations.
The official store sells paid ranks, a recurring Guardian rank, fireworks, famous heads, and convenience or cosmetic perks. Rank benefits include extra homes, storage, disguises, vehicles, colored chat, fly access in selected worlds, and minigame experience boosts.
Short, timed excursions through special maps where players fight hostile mobs and search chests or other reward containers.
The Airship sends players to rotating maps for loot runs with chests and hostile mobs; each map closes after five minutes.
Unlockable benefits attached to job progression that add new advantages as players level or advance through professions.
The redesigned Jobs system awards unlockable perks as players level professions, adding goals beyond simply earning meebles from work.
An area-sensitive PvP rule set where town or plot settings determine when player combat is permitted.
MeepCraft ties PvP to Towny and plot settings, distinguishing ordinary town plots, warnings, and designated combat-enabled areas.
A settlement upkeep mechanic requiring towns or their members to provide recurring resources or currency to remain operational.
Towny settlements use resident taxes alongside town banks, plots, and shared finances, making fiscal management part of town leadership.
Town banks are shared settlement finances used by members or leaders to manage communal costs, taxes, and other group expenses.
Town banks sit alongside resident taxes, plot purchases, and town expansion in MeepCraft's settlement economy.
Server-authored parkour courses use purpose-built layouts to create distinct movement routes, obstacles, and completion challenges.
MeepCraft offers a large collection of custom parkour maps and has added new maps during its post-relaunch update cycle.
A named server currency used as a common medium for earning, buying, selling, taxation, or funding player progression.
Meebles connect jobs, resource sales, trading, shops, plots, town expansion, resident taxes, and town-bank finances.
Nations are organized player communities that coordinate identity, cooperation, projects, and shared development within a multiplayer world.
Towny progression extends beyond individual settlements toward larger communities and nations, giving successful towns broader organizational goals.
A combat activity where players fight hostile mobs in a dedicated arena, typically surviving escalating encounters for rewards.
Mob Arena is one of MeepCraft's listed classic activities, adding a dedicated hostile-mob combat option beyond ordinary Towny survival.
Splegg is a Spleef variant where players use egg projectiles to remove blocks beneath opponents and create falling hazards.
Splegg is listed among MeepCraft's restored classic spawn activities, adding an egg-focused arcade mode to the network.
Server-operated shops where players exchange resources or currency for useful items and supplies.
MeepCraft combines player-run shops with server shops, giving the shared economy both community marketplaces and centrally provided trading options.
Maze challenges ask players to navigate confusing branching routes and reach an objective or exit.
Mazes are among MeepCraft's returning spawn attractions, offering navigation-focused breaks from settlement building and economy management.
History of MeepCraft
MeepCraft was operating by February 2012 and developed its early identity around Towny settlements, plot claims, town banks, taxes, jobs, shops, and a player-driven economy.
In January 2021, the server went through a major 1.16.4 overhaul. The update rebuilt much of the infrastructure, introduced a new spawn, refreshed Towny and economy systems, reset resource dimensions, and added or restored activities such as mazes, TNT Run, Splegg, an elytra course, and other spawn attractions.
After a two-year absence, MeepCraft relaunched on May 19, 2023 in Minecraft 1.19. The relaunch brought back Towny Classic with a reworked economy, alongside Halo, Boomo, Parkour, a redesigned Jobs system, classic spawn activities, and the Airship. The following update cycle restored hourly Airship loot runs, added parkour maps, and continued work on jobs, SkyBlock, and community events.
