About Newfort SMP
Newfort SMP combines a long-running, mostly vanilla survival world with a separate PvP practice hub. Java and Bedrock players share the same network, while the survival side focuses on gathering, building, and settling with land claims and PvP disabled by default. Practical additions include a compass menu, proximity voice chat, an online world map, and switchable resource packs rather than a heavy layer of custom systems.
What Makes It Different
Newfort pairs a protected cross-play survival world with a dedicated practice network on the same server. Survival players can claim land and choose whether to enable PvP, while the practice side offers kits such as NethPot, Mace, Iron Axe, Basic, and Day1 for solo, team, or private fights.
Practice servers let players repeatedly train and test specific Minecraft skills in short, controlled challenges rather than build toward long-term world progression.
The network explicitly provides a separate PvP practice hub with multiple kits and fight formats.
Proximity voice chat lets Minecraft players speak through audio that becomes quieter or inaudible as their in-game characters move apart.
The server supports location-based voice communication through compatibility with the Simple Voice Chat mod.
Duels are self-contained Minecraft PvP matches where two players or small opposing teams fight under defined rules until one side wins.
The practice hub supports solo, team, and private fight formats with defined opposing sides.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The primary experience is a shared multiplayer survival world where players gather resources, build bases, and develop settlements.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players follow familiar survival progression through gathering, crafting, exploration, equipment upgrades, and base development.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Players claim build sites and use trust permissions to protect land and control access for friends.
Semi-Vanilla servers keep Minecraft’s ordinary survival progression while adding a limited set of server-specific changes around it.
The survival world preserves ordinary Minecraft progression while adding claims, menus, voice chat, maps, and other limited systems.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The server uses a large long-term survival map and describes world wipes as infrequent rather than seasonal.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Combat is available through opt-in survival PvP and the separate practice network.
The main mode is cooperative survival with familiar Minecraft gathering, crafting, exploration, building, and base development. Players can claim a build site with a golden shovel, use trust permissions for friends, navigate through a compass menu, and use quality-of-life features without turning the world into a heavily customized minigame server.
Progression stays close to ordinary survival: gather materials, improve equipment, establish a base, and expand protected building space. The server emphasizes long-term maps rather than frequent seasonal resets, giving established builds and shared landmarks room to develop.
Server-side additions include land claims, trust permissions, a compass command menu, live resource-pack switching through /pickpack, Bedrock-oriented command interfaces, and compatibility with the Simple Voice Chat mod. These systems support the survival world without replacing its normal Minecraft progression.
The survival side uses a large persistent map with protected player building and an online map for viewing the world outside the game. Its long-term map approach suits players who want to keep improving the same base, settlement, or shared landscape over time.
PvP is off by default in the main SMP, so players can keep survival building separate from combat unless they opt in. The network also includes a PvP practice hub with NethPot, Mace, Iron Axe, Basic, Day1, and SMP kits, plus solo, duo, trio, quad, and private duel formats.
Newfort is built for groups playing across Java, Bedrock, console, and mobile platforms. Discord is the main community and support channel, while proximity voice chat gives Java players another way to coordinate in-world when the compatible voice mod is installed.
Survival building is protected through land claims and trust permissions. PvP is disabled by default in the SMP, with combat enabled only by player choice. The network does not require a whitelist for joining.
The server presents itself as non-pay-to-win and rejects pay-to-win crate mechanics. Its advertised gameplay focus is survival and practice rather than paid advantages.
Trust permissions let players grant selected individuals defined rights to build, interact, or access protected areas.
Players can use trust permissions with land claims to let friends build or interact inside their protected build sites.
Opt-in PvP lets players enable or agree to player combat instead of making hostile encounters universal.
PvP is off by default in the survival world and becomes available only when players choose to enable it.
Infrequent world resets keep a server map available for extended periods before a fresh world replaces it.
The survival world is promoted as using long-term maps with wipes described as infrequent rather than seasonal.
An online world map lets players inspect a server’s Minecraft terrain, builds, and landmarks through an external web interface.
Newfort provides map.mcpve.xyz so players can inspect the persistent survival world outside the game client.
Invite-controlled multiplayer matches that let a group play a game separately from public matchmaking or open rounds.
The practice hub includes private duel formats alongside its solo and team fight options.
