About ArgusSMP
ArgusSMP turns survival into a settlement game. Players gather resources, establish towns, claim land, develop shared territory, and build wealth while progressing through skills, fishing content, elite mobs, and other server systems. Its main appeal is long-term survival with more structure than a standard vanilla SMP.
What Makes It Different
ArgusSMP combines Towny settlement management with several distinct progression systems, including mcMMO skills, EliteMobs encounters, PyroFishing, and Mob Arena classes. Towns, nations, taxes, plots, and permissions give the survival world a player-built political layer instead of leaving bases as isolated personal builds.
Towny is a settlement system where players found towns, claim land, and control how residents use it.
Town creation, townblocks, plots, nations, taxes, permissions, banks, and settlement management define the server’s central progression.
mcMMO is a Minecraft server skill system that grants experience for activities such as mining, chopping trees, fishing, and fighting.
mcMMO tracks multiple activity-based skills, stats, leaderboards, inspections, and abilities as players perform routine survival tasks.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
Towns, outposts, plots, nations, roads, and other player-made changes remain part of the shared world across visits.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a persistent survival world where they gather resources, build homes, explore, and cooperate on long-term projects.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Townblocks and plots let players claim territory and control building, container, and interaction permissions.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The core loop includes gathering, crafting, shelter building, exploration, equipment improvement, and survival against hostile threats.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Banks, taxes, upkeep, plot prices, shop plots, auctions, and player trading make money important to settlement development.
Players start with ordinary survival tasks such as gathering materials, crafting equipment, building shelter, and exploring the world. Towny commands let players create towns, claim townblocks, invite residents, manage permissions, establish plots, and connect towns into nations. Homes, warps, random teleportation, private containers, and player-to-player teleport requests support day-to-day movement and cooperation.
McMMO tracks skill development across activities such as mining, combat, and other routine work. EliteMobs adds an Adventurer’s Guild and stronger encounters, while PyroFishing gives fishing its own menu-based progression. Town and nation growth also creates longer-term goals through additional land, plots, banks, taxes, and settlement development.
The server adds mcMMO, Towny, EliteMobs, PyroFishing, Mob Arena, BlockLocker protection, secret-head collection, homes, warps, teleport requests, and settlement permissions. Mob Arena includes selectable classes and separate arena commands, while EliteMobs provides an in-game Adventurer’s Guild.
ArgusSMP uses a persistent survival world with a defined world border and random teleportation for reaching new areas. Players can develop towns, outposts, plots, and nations across the shared map rather than playing only in isolated private islands.
PvP is tied to the settlement systems rather than presented as a standalone arena network. Towny exposes controls for enabling or disabling PvP in towns and plots, while nation war commands and war statistics provide a framework for organized conflict. The available material does not establish a server-wide PvP rule.
The economy is connected to town and nation management. Towny includes banks, taxes, plot prices, shop plots, embassy plots, and town upkeep controls, giving players reasons to earn and spend money beyond personal purchases. Player listings also describe shops, auctions, and a broader player-driven economy.
Tournaments and community events are part of the server’s advertised activities, adding occasional competitive or cooperative objectives alongside regular survival and settlement development.
Towny towns and nations give players a practical reason to cooperate, recruit residents, share resources, and coordinate territory. The server also maintains a named admin and staff team, with an in-game Discord command available for community contact.
Protection that restricts unauthorized access to player containers such as chests, barrels, or other storage blocks.
BlockLocker protects chests, doors, furnaces, dispensers, droppers, and hoppers through signs and configurable access lists.
PyroFishing is a specialized fishing progression system that adds extra goals or rewards to repeated fishing activity.
ArgusSMP gives fishing its own PyroFishing menu and progression path alongside normal survival and settlement development.
Mob Arena classes are selectable combat roles that give players different equipment, abilities, or tactical functions during enemy-wave battles.
ArgusSMP’s Mob Arena includes class selection commands, allowing players to choose roles before entering its structured combat activity.
A settlement upkeep mechanic requiring towns or their members to provide recurring resources or currency to remain operational.
ArgusSMP connects taxes with Towny settlement management, alongside town banks, nation finances, plot prices, and upkeep controls.
An adventurer guild is a progression organization that tracks exploration or combat accomplishments and unlocks related rewards or status.
ArgusSMP uses an Adventurer’s Guild with EliteMobs to organize access to stronger-than-normal enemy encounters.
Secret head collection is a collectible-hunting activity where players seek hidden decorative heads placed throughout a server’s world.
ArgusSMP advertises secret-head collection as an additional exploration and collecting activity within its survival world.
