About HardcoreRewind
HardcoreRewind turns shared vanilla survival into a series of high-stakes runs. You can build with friends and compete in the same world, but dying erases your XP, stats, inventory, stored items, base, and farms, sending you back to a fresh start. Season 2 runs from August 8 to November 8, 2026, with separate goals for survival time, advancements, and building.
What Makes It Different
The server keeps the social side of SMP play while making death destructive rather than final. You are not death-banned, but losing a run means rebuilding everything from zero, so ordinary trips and ambitious builds both carry real consequences.
Hardcore servers make death a severe, often permanent loss that can end a player’s run or remove them from active play.
Death wipes XP, statistics, inventory, storage, bases, farms, and other accumulated progress, forcing each run to begin again.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The experience is explicitly presented as vanilla Minecraft survival with the rewind rule as its defining custom mechanic.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is a shared multiplayer survival world where players build with friends while pursuing individual goals and competing.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, explore, craft, build bases, develop farms, and manage ordinary Minecraft survival dangers.
This is vanilla multiplayer survival with hardcore consequences. Players gather resources, explore, build bases, develop farms, and work toward long survival runs while deciding how much risk to accept. Cooperation and competition happen in the same shared world, but a single death can erase the progress behind either one.
Progress is measured by what you accomplish before a rewind. Players can pursue longer survival times, complete advancements, improve their builds, and establish farms or storage systems, knowing that all of it can disappear when they die. The current season gives survivalists, advancement hunters, and builders separate goals to chase.
The server’s defining custom mechanic is its rewind reset. Death does not permanently remove a player from the server, but it clears the player’s XP, statistics, inventory, stored items, base, farms, and other accumulated progress before they begin again from zero.
The current season takes place in a shared vanilla world where players build bases, farms, and other long-term projects alongside one another. The world remains socially persistent during the season, but individual progress is vulnerable to death and the season has a scheduled end.
Season 2 is live from August 8 through November 8, 2026. Its competition includes more than $1,000 in prizes, with awards for the longest survival run, the most advancements, and the best builds.
HardcoreRewind is designed for multiplayer survival with friends rather than isolated single-player hardcore runs. Players share the world while pursuing their own survival records and builds, and the server provides a Discord community for coordination and discussion.
Players must treat others and staff respectfully, avoid harassment, cheating, exploits, unauthorized modifications, disruptive behavior, inappropriate content, and attempts to damage or bypass server systems. Staff can issue warnings, mutes, kicks, suspensions, or bans when needed.
HardcoreRewind is operated as a public, not-for-profit community for entertainment.
A death-reset mechanic removes a player’s accumulated progress and returns them to an effectively fresh start.
Death clears XP, statistics, inventory, stored items, bases, farms, and other progress before the player rebuilds from zero.
A hardcore ruleset imposes severe death consequences while allowing players to continue playing instead of permanently leaving after death.
Players are not death-banned; after a fatal run, they can return and continue by rebuilding everything from the beginning.
Seasonal challenges are limited-period objectives or competitions that give players additional goals and rewards alongside persistent gameplay.
Season 2 runs from August 8 through November 8, 2026, with goals focused on survival, advancements, and building.
Players compete to sustain a survival run for as long as possible before death ends or resets that attempt.

Players pursue Minecraft advancements as a competitive objective, seeking to complete more achievements than other participants.
Season 2 offers a Top Advancement Chaser award for players completing advancements during their high-stakes survival runs.

Season 2 includes a Top Builder award, giving players an additional reason to develop ambitious structures despite death risking their progress.
