About Fractured SMP
Fractured SMP keeps survival close to vanilla while leaving room for player conflict. Players gather resources, build up their gear, and decide how much risk to take in a world where PvP is part of the experience rather than a separate minigame. The server uses a limited ruleset focused on fair play, combat conduct, and preventing cheats.
What Makes It Different
Fractured SMP sits between ordinary survival and full anarchy. The world keeps the familiar vanilla progression, but PvP and player conflict are central, with only a small set of restrictions such as bans on cheating, combat logging, and rockets during combat.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The server is explicitly presented as vanilla and keeps progression close to standard Minecraft.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Open player combat is central to the experience, including ambushes, contested areas, defensive play, and gear risk.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
It is a multiplayer survival world centered on persistent player-created bases, routes, landmarks, and self-directed progress.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Gathering materials, crafting equipment, building bases, exploring, and surviving form the main gameplay loop.
The main loop is straightforward survival: gather materials, craft equipment, establish a base, and improve your gear before entering contested areas or taking fights. The server is designed for players who prefer earning their equipment through play instead of receiving large starter kits or heavily customized progression systems.
Progression comes from the ordinary Minecraft grind rather than a large rank or quest ladder. Mining, exploring, building, and preparing better weapons and armor all feed into the next PvP encounter. Gear has practical value because losing it can set back a player’s ability to fight.
The world follows a vanilla-style survival format where players create their own bases, routes, and landmarks through normal play. No separate themed map, reset schedule, or protected settlement system was used for the page.
PvP is a major part of the server rather than an occasional event. Semi-anarchy rules leave players room to choose when and where to fight, while cheating, combat logging, and using rockets during combat are prohibited. Players should expect ambushes, defensive play, and gear risk whenever they travel or contest resources.
The Discord is the main social and support hub for the server. It is used for conversation, questions, and access to the fuller ruleset beyond the short list of combat and conduct rules.
Cheating and hacking are prohibited. Combat logging and using rockets during combat are also prohibited. The Discord carries the complete rules and community discussion.
Open PvP allows players to initiate combat broadly across the survival world rather than restricting fights to designated arenas or matches.
Players can choose when and where to fight, with ambushes, contested resources, and defensive travel forming part of normal survival play.
Semi-anarchy rules provide broad player freedom while retaining a limited set of enforced restrictions for fair play and server conduct.
The server prohibits cheating, combat logging, and rockets during combat, but otherwise leaves considerable room for player conflict and risk.
Gear risk makes equipment loss during dangerous encounters an important consideration in preparation, travel, combat, and recovery.
Earned weapons and armor have practical value because losing gear in PvP can set back a player’s ability to fight.
Vanilla progression uses Minecraft’s ordinary gathering, crafting, exploration, building, and equipment-improvement path without a replacement advancement system.
Mining, exploring, building, and preparing better weapons and armor drive advancement instead of ranks, quests, or heavily customized progression systems.
A progression rule where players begin without predefined equipment packages and must obtain their own tools, supplies, and gear.
Players are expected to earn equipment through mining, exploration, crafting, and other normal survival activities rather than receiving large starter kits.
