About Beyond Horizons
Beyond Horizons connects two distinct Minecraft experiences under one network: Isles of Vale, a progression-heavy Skyblock world, and Classic Slimefun, a long-term survival world built around machines, custom items and technology trees. Players can move between both modes using the same account, economy and cosmetics, with Java and Bedrock cross-play supported.
What Makes It Different
Beyond Horizons combines a developed Skyblock world and a deep Slimefun survival world without separating players into different network identities. The two sides also feel meaningfully different: Isles of Vale emphasizes quests, dungeons, islands and custom progression, while Classic Slimefun focuses on automation, machines, jobs, mcMMO and technology or magic research.
Slimefun is a server-side Minecraft progression system that adds technology-style items and machines to survival without requiring a client mod.
Classic Slimefun is one of the network’s two primary worlds, with extensive add-ons, machines, custom recipes, and research progression.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
Isles of Vale is the flagship mode and centers progression on expanding a floating island through upgrades, production, quests, and related systems.
Quests are tracked Minecraft objectives that direct players to complete specific tasks or a connected sequence of tasks.
Quests and profession quest lines are established progression activities in both Isles of Vale and Classic Slimefun.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Both modes use player-facing economies involving selling, auctions, shops, trading, production, and manufactured goods.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Classic Slimefun retains the core survival loop of gathering, building, exploration, crafting, and hostile-mob progression.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
The network uses custom items, custom enchants, Slimefun equipment, and other content that extends beyond standard Minecraft gear.
Players enter a shared hub and choose between Isles of Vale and Classic Slimefun. Isles of Vale centers on expanding a floating island into a larger operation through quests, skills, jobs, minions, spawners, dungeons, custom items, island upgrades, pets and a player-driven economy. Classic Slimefun keeps the survival loop of gathering, building and exploration while adding machines, automation, custom recipes, jobs, mcMMO, quests, claims and player shops.
Isles of Vale uses layered progression through island upgrades, quests, skills, jobs, levels, dungeons, custom equipment and collectible systems. Classic Slimefun adds rankups, profession quest lines, jobs, mcMMO skills and Slimefun research trees. The September 2026 overhaul also reworked the survival economy, claims, fishing, tags and quest rewards around longer-term activity.
Custom content includes hundreds of Slimefun items, more than 25 maintained Slimefun add-ons, automated machines, technology and magic research trees, custom items and enchants, minions, pets, lucky blocks, dungeons, seasonal crates and in-house server systems. No client mods are required.
The network's two main worlds are Isles of Vale, a floating-island Skyblock setting, and Classic Slimefun, a long-term survival world. Account progress, economy access and cosmetics are shared across the network, while each mode keeps its own gameplay systems and progression.
PvP is available as a focused activity on Isles of Vale through a PvP arena, duels, envoys and related rewards. The network is primarily progression and survival oriented rather than a dedicated competitive PvP server.
Both modes include player-facing economies. Isles of Vale supports auctions, player shops, trading and island-based production, while Classic Slimefun uses selling, shops and gathered or manufactured goods as major ways to build wealth. Voting also provides in-game money, keys and seasonal rewards.
Seasonal crates, vote parties, daily rewards, leaderboards and limited-time rewards provide recurring activities. Community announcements, events and support are coordinated through Discord, with new seasons and seasonal maps used as major progression milestones.
The community uses Discord for announcements, support, reports, event information and finding teammates. The network also provides a public wiki covering commands, server guides and detailed Slimefun documentation.
Rules prohibit cheats, unfair automation, griefing, stealing, exploit abuse, harassment, spam, inappropriate content, impersonation and unauthorized real-world trading. The rules permit limited tools such as auto-clickers up to 10 CPS, AFK pools, cosmetic or quality-of-life mods and Litematica without printer mode.
The server is free to play. Its Tebex store sells optional ranks, cosmetics, crate keys, claim blocks and other virtual perks for the Slimefun and Skyblock modes. Purchases are not required to join or progress through the server.
Automation machines process resources or perform production tasks with reduced manual input through connected systems and infrastructure.
Classic Slimefun centers part of its enhanced-survival progression on machines and automated production built from custom technology content.
Research trees unlock increasingly advanced recipes, technologies, abilities, or magical systems through structured discovery and progression.
Classic Slimefun uses technology and magic research trees to gate access to more advanced custom systems and recipes.
Island upgrades expand or improve a Skyblock island, increasing its usefulness as players gather resources and advance.
In Isles of Vale, players advance their floating-island operation through island upgrades as part of the mode’s layered progression.
An auction house lets players list items for sale and buy goods through a shared market interface.
Isles of Vale supports auctions alongside player shops, trading, and island-based production in its player-driven economy.
Minions are persistent helpers that perform useful production or resource activities, supporting progression while players pursue other objectives.
Isles of Vale includes minions among its custom progression systems, supporting ongoing island production and development.
Lucky blocks are special blocks that produce unpredictable rewards, hazards, enemies, items, or other gameplay effects when activated.
Isles of Vale includes lucky blocks among its custom content, adding randomized outcomes to the island progression experience.
Placed devices that repeatedly generate specified mobs, supporting controlled farming of drops and experience.
Isles of Vale provides spawners as part of its custom progression and island-based production systems.
PvP Duels are self-contained player-versus-player fights where participants enter a defined contest and battle under server rules.
Isles of Vale offers duels and a dedicated PvP arena as focused combat activities within its primarily progression-oriented network.
Pets are collectible or companion entities that accompany players for companionship, presentation, or optional utility in the game world.
Isles of Vale includes pets among its collectible and progression-oriented custom systems.
