About SmeltBlock
SmeltBlock is a French Java Skyblock server where your island grows around custom farming tools instead of a plain vanilla grind. Every player starts with an ore cube and a monster cube, giving them compact ways to mine and fight for resources.
The server adds adjustable quests, island upgrades, a player economy, tournaments, WorldEdit tools, and access to the Nether and End. Its strongest systems are designed to make large farms easier to manage without removing the long-term Skyblock grind.
What Makes It Different
SmeltBlock replaces part of the usual Skyblock farm grind with upgradeable ore and monster cubes. Their storage is effectively unlimited, and upgrades can add faster production, cooking, compression, and automatic selling.
Skyblock is a Minecraft mode where players develop a floating island while gathering and multiplying scarce resources above the void.
The server is fundamentally a Skyblock network.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Upgradeable ore and monster cubes, 3x3 hoes, and custom tools shape the gameplay.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Money, Farmpoints, auctions, shops, trades, crates, and a bourse are central systems.
Your island is built around farms, cube upgrades, quests, and trading. The server also gives players practical tools such as a 3x3 hoe, optimized farm systems, funnels, cactus generators, and a WorldEdit stick with building limits.
Nether and End access, fishing, island protection, competitive island levels, and multiple shops give the island loop more to do than simple crop farming.
Quest difficulty can be chosen to suit casual players or dedicated grinders. Progress also comes from improving ore and monster cubes, developing island farms, earning money and Farmpoints, and working through the island pass.
Cube upgrades gradually unlock faster production and extra functions, so efficient automation becomes part of the progression rather than a starting assumption.
The signature custom content is the ore-and-monster cube system. Cubes collect drops into large built-in storage and can be upgraded with features such as faster operation, cooking, compression, and automatic selling.
Other custom systems include 3x3 hoes, an island pass, infinite-style storage features, optimized farming tools, a WorldEdit stick, Farmpoints, custom crates, and newer event or interface additions.
The main experience uses personal Skyblock islands with defined island limits and protection tools. The wider setup includes the Nether, the End, an End portal system, cactus generators, fishing, and competitive island-level rankings.
SmeltBlock has several connected money systems: a server shop, Farmpoints shop, player auction house, player shops, direct trades, crates, and a stock-market-style bourse. Farming is the main route into the economy, while player commerce gives valuable drops and crafted items another use.
Tournaments are part of the regular Skyblock experience, with island progress and competitive rankings providing goals beyond personal wealth. Seasonal content has included a Halloween treasure hunt, while newer updates have added tools for handling community suggestions.
SmeltBlock is a French-speaking server with an official Discord, support channels, update posts, tutorials, and community suggestion tools. Its public community presentation is aimed at both experienced Skyblock players and newer players who want guided progression.
Separate rules cover general server conduct, building restrictions, prohibited words, and Discord behavior. Island protection and building-limit guidance are also part of the player information structure.
The official store sells VIP, MVP, and MVP+ ranks, along with SmeltCoins and donation products. Rank packages can include /fly, extra homes, crate access, money, Farmpoints, temporary selling or farming multipliers, additional auction slots, protections, and other gameplay conveniences.
SmeltBlock openly leans toward a Farm2Win model, so players looking for strictly cosmetic-only purchases may find the store advantages too strong.

History of SmeltBlock
SmeltBlock was created on December 31, 2016, by Emilien Raclot and Jordan Brisson. It began as a small Minecraft project with a modest community and developed gradually.
By 2019, the server was still running but had reached a slower period. A full redesign began during that year, changing the project from a small side server into a more ambitious Skyblock network.
The redesigned version launched in March 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown period. The project grew quickly and became a declared self-employed business, giving the server a more serious operating structure.
By August 2020, the workload had grown enough for additional developers to join. In May 2021, the founder left an apprenticeship and began working on SmeltBlock full time.
A new version opened in September 2021 with a more professional presentation and more than 40,000 unique users. SmeltBlock also became a MineStrator partner in December 2021.
In September 2022, the founder resumed formal studies while continuing to work on the server with a small team. SmeltBlock kept expanding its custom Skyblock systems rather than switching to a collection of unrelated game modes.
During 2025, updates added more farming content, quest guidance, economy changes, fish-tier rules, furniture-token exchanges, and additional payment options. The server also introduced a dedicated blog for updates and tutorials.
The 2026 development cycle continued with a boss bar for player actions and a suggestion-management bot. Today, SmeltBlock remains a 1.20.4 Java Skyblock server focused on upgradeable cubes, island progression, quests, farming, commerce, competitions, and custom quality-of-life tools.
