About Wortham
Wortham centers Minecraft survival around Towny settlement play. Players can start or join towns, claim plots, expand territory, form nations, earn gold through jobs and market activity, and decide how deeply to enter the server's conflict systems. Sieges, KOTH, trap PvP, dungeons, fishing, ranks, and events give the otherwise settlement-focused world additional ways to progress and compete.
What Makes It Different
Wortham combines long-term Towny settlement building with explicit siege warfare, KOTH, and trap-PvP systems. Its rules also leave scams and town betrayal to player responsibility while banning specific forms of abuse such as TP traps, giving diplomacy and trust a more consequential role than on a purely protected building server.
Towns, plots, nations, permissions, outposts, and settlement development form Wortham’s central gameplay structure.
Jobs are presented as a primary recurring source of income for players developing their towns and personal progression.
Players claim plots, manage permissions, establish outposts, sell land, and control settlement territory through Towny.
Gold, jobs, market sales, town costs, plot prices, and upkeep directly drive progression and settlement decisions.
Sieges, KOTH, trap PvP, and detailed combat rules make player conflict a substantial part of the server.
The main loop is to gather resources, choose a job, earn gold, and build within a town. Players can establish a town for 350 gold, join open towns without paying, claim and sell plots, create outposts, manage permissions, and form nations. Conflict includes sieges, KOTH, PvP, and the server's separately documented trap-PvP system, while dungeons, fishing, and events provide alternatives to ordinary settlement work.
Progression combines personal income, town development, plot expansion, ranks, jobs, and combat or dungeon activities. A player's town can grow through additional claims and outposts, but it must also cover daily upkeep. Towns that remain unpaid can enter ruin and eventually be deleted, while ruined towns have limited reclaim windows. Wortham documents 15 ranks along with dungeons, professions, and events as additional progression systems.
Wortham adds server-specific systems around Towny, including localized commands and menus, custom siege and conflict rules, ranks, jobs, dungeons, KOTH, fishing, market limits, and a required server resource pack. The server's help center also documents custom town, plot, nation, player-card, and guide interfaces.
The world is organized around Towny settlements, claimed plots, towns, nations, and outposts. Players can use town and plot permissions, set trusted players, manage outlaw lists, sell individual plots, and inspect nearby claims through the Towny map. Town upkeep and reclaim rules make settlement maintenance part of the world rather than a one-time setup task.
PvP is part of the server's broader Towny conflict structure rather than an isolated arena-only mode. Wortham specifically advertises sieges, KOTH, and trap PvP. War rules restrict abuses such as calling a 1v1 and attacking with a larger group, fleeing through exploitative methods, or deleting a town after losing a siege.
Gold is the central currency, with one gold ingot valued as one gold. Jobs are presented as a main source of regular income, while players can sell items through the market. The starter guide gives a daily market-selling limit of 12,000 gold, and town costs include 350 gold to found a town, 130 gold for an initial plot claim with scaling prices, and 2,500 gold for an outpost.
KOTH, dungeons, and general server events are part of Wortham's documented activities. The official Discord is also used for giveaways, announcements, early update information, and community activities.
Wortham directs players to Discord for support, announcements, events, player groups, and communication with staff. The server also documents clans and community groups as part of its wider social structure.
The rules ban cheating, duping, bug abuse, hate speech, spam, insults, inappropriate skins, TP traps, harmful farms, and damage around towns. Punishment requests require dated evidence within 48 hours. Scamming, town betrayal, and entering another town are not prohibited by default, so players are expected to manage trust and permissions carefully. Litematica is explicitly allowed.
The official help center documents credits, VIP tiers, product delivery, and a shop system. The rules prohibit credit and VIP sales, so players should use the server's stated official process rather than player-to-player offers.
Wortham charges 35 gold per plot daily, with a 120-gold minimum; seven days in debt can delete the town.
Wortham’s Towny conflict includes sieges, with rules covering group attacks, fleeing, and town deletion after a lost siege.
After 24 hours, a ruined Wortham town can be reclaimed for 1,500 gold; otherwise it is fully deleted after 48 hours.
Wortham allows players to claim and sell individual plots, making land itself part of the server’s economy.
Wortham does not generally prohibit scams, town betrayal, or entering another town, so players must manage trust and permissions carefully.
Wortham separately documents trap PvP while its rules prohibit TP traps, making trap-based combat a defined part of its conflict systems.
Wortham lets towns create outposts for 2,500 gold, giving settlement expansion an additional claim option beyond normal plots.
Wortham documents KOTH as a competitive activity alongside sieges, trap PvP, dungeons, and general events.
Wortham’s connection guidance states that its server resource pack is required for play.
Wortham starts plot claims at 130 gold and applies scaling prices as towns expand their claimed territory.
Players on Wortham can form nations, adding a broader organizational layer above individual settlement management.
Wortham limits daily market sales to 12,000 gold, constraining how quickly players can convert stock into income.
