About WinterCrestMC
WinterCrest is a community-focused SMP where building and social play matter more than competition. The server is PvE-focused, keeps inventories on death, avoids leaderboards, and does not allow griefing or raiding.
What Makes It Different
WinterCrest protects builds even when they are not claimed, then adds optional claims and subclaims for detailed permissions. Its progression also leans on voting, jobs, towns, shops, events, and community projects instead of leaderboard competition.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
Players can earn money through a broad selection of jobs, with more job slots unlocked by ranks.
PvE is Minecraft gameplay centered on surviving and overcoming enemies and hazards controlled by the game rather than by other players.
The server emphasizes PvE, keep-inventory, protected builds, and a low-conflict environment.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Optional claims, subclaims, trust settings, and claim tokens strongly shape building and town play.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.

Use /rtp to find a home in the build world, then set homes and travel through the server's world menu. Teleports, public warps, pets, disguises, furniture-style cosmetics, and protected containers make everyday SMP life more convenient and social.
Voting is the main progression path. Vote ranks unlock more homes, additional jobs, claim advantages, crate keys, and access to features such as the creative world. After 250 votes, players can also take the Expert knowledge test.
Custom enchants, custom items, quest scrolls, pets, disguises, cosmetics, furniture-style features, themed NPCs, and special server tools add progression beyond standard vanilla survival.
The network has separate worlds for building, resource gathering, and exploration. The resource world is reset regularly, while the build world is intended for lasting projects. Towns, subclaims, public warps, and multiple homes support long-term community builds.
WinterCrest is built around PvE rather than open combat. Killing inside claims, trapping players, teleport-killing, and pushing players from safe areas into damage-enabled zones are forbidden. Players seeking unrestricted PvP or raiding will find the combat rules restrictive.
Players earn money through jobs such as mining, woodcutting, fishing, hunting, digging, animal care, Nether work, and flower harvesting. The economy includes balances, payments, auctions, chest shops, player shops, and a daily job-income cap.
WinterCrest runs themed events and contests, including art festivals, screenshot events, elytra contests, seasonal celebrations, quest-based activities, and temporary event worlds. Recent themes have included Lunar New Year, Halloween, winter festivals, and the Castaway event.
The community is organized through Discord, in-game chat, public warps, player shops, towns, and staff-hosted activities. Discord account linking gives players access to the server's public community channels.
Griefing, raiding, stealing, scamming, claim abuse, teleport traps, and killing inside claims are prohibited. Players should build at least 100 blocks from others without permission. Hacked clients, x-ray, autoclickers, combat assistance, duplication, and exploit sharing are banned. Global chat is English-only, while private messages may use other languages.
The store sells donor ranks, cosmetic perks, convenience items, claim tokens, vault upgrades, elytra-related items, and other optional packages. Voting also grants ranks, crate keys, homes, jobs, and selected gameplay perks, so some progression is available without paying.
