About WesterosLive
WesterosLive turns a Game of Thrones setting into a survival-RP server where players create the big moments. You can run a tournament, stage a trial by combat, or hold a wedding or coronation. Joining during a live event places you at the action, while a spawn NPC points players toward what is happening next.
Survival is deliberately demanding. Equipment wears down quickly, enchanting is disabled, potions are replaced by custom brews, and crops grow slowly. The world avoids the usual conquest loop too: players cannot seize land or raid other players.
What Makes It Different
The server makes player-created events part of the actual world. A tournament, wedding, coronation or trial by combat can become the place new arrivals enter when they join.
Roleplay is Minecraft gameplay where players act as characters in a shared fictional world and make choices from those characters’ perspectives.
The Game of Thrones setting and player-created ceremonies, trials and political-style events are central to play.
Events are organized Minecraft activities that give players a distinct objective and rules for a particular occasion or limited period.
Player-generated public events are the server's defining system.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
Players share a persistent multiplayer world and participate in community-led activities.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
The server uses a demanding survival ruleset with equipment wear, slow crops and restricted combat supplies.
Players combine survival play with Game of Thrones roleplay and community events. Public activities can include tournaments, trials by combat, weddings and coronations. Events are designed to pull players into shared scenes rather than keeping everyone isolated at personal bases.
Progression is slowed by fast equipment wear, disabled enchanting, unavailable normal potions, custom brews and slow crop growth. Useful gear and supplies need more planning because standard Minecraft shortcuts are limited.
Custom brews replace ordinary potion use. The server also adds a player-generated event system and a spawn NPC that directs players to current activities.
The server uses a Game of Thrones-inspired world with a dedicated live map. Locations become gathering points when community events are underway.
PvP is tied to activities such as tournaments and trials by combat rather than constant faction warfare. There is no war for conquest, and players cannot take land or raid it.
An economy layer is part of the server's survival and roleplay setup.
Players can host tournaments, trials by combat, weddings and coronations. Live events are shared through Discord and the wiki, and players joining during an active event are sent directly to it.
The community is built around player-led public activities. Discord and the wiki carry event announcements, while players can organize ceremonies, contests and roleplay scenes for others to attend.
The server avoids conquest warfare. Other players cannot take your land or raid it, but survival remains pressured by fast-wearing equipment, limited combat consumables and slow farming.

History of WesterosLive
By July 2026, WesterosLive was operating as a Game of Thrones-themed survival and roleplay server supporting both Java and Bedrock. Its main twist was a system that let players create and host public events instead of relying only on a fixed scripted campaign.
The server paired those events with a tougher survival ruleset. Fast equipment wear, no enchanting, disabled potions, custom brews and slow crops made preparation more important than rushing toward fully enchanted gear.
Its social design also moved away from the usual faction-conquest model. Land could not be taken by other players, and raiding was not part of the server's war loop.
The current format revolves around live community events, Discord and wiki announcements, and a spawn NPC that directs players toward active happenings. WesterosLive offers roleplay drama through what players organize, while keeping the survival layer demanding without open land warfare.
