VanOS keeps Minecraft as Mojang made it. The server runs the untouched game with no Paper and no plugins, and small comfort extras come from datapacks instead. You can settle into the SMP, where griefing and stealing are banned and staff are around.
Prefer starting from nothing? Skyblock gives every player a small private island to grow into the Nether and a custom End, with friends as co-op partners. Plots let you plan a build before you move it into Survival, and Kit PvP and parkour fill the gaps. It is Java only and run by LastOrders and a staff team.

Free to play. Optional monthly Contributor tiers give looks only, like particle trails, a name colour and hats.
Fights only happen when both players agree, and spawn camping or trapping is banned.
Islands start small and can be grown, with progress into the Nether and a custom End.
Each vote gives XP levels, and voting every day earns a custom player head on SMP or Skyblock.

A datapack Kit PvP minigame hands you a kit for quick fights, alongside parkour courses.
Griefing and taking from unlocked chests are both against the rules, and staff step in.
Your Skyblock island is private, and you can invite friends to play it with you as co-op partners.
Plots give you space to plan and test a build before you take it into Survival.
