About Solace SMP
Solace SMP is a cross-platform Survival+ server built for players who want more depth than plain vanilla survival. Land claims protect major builds, while jobs, shops, quests, custom enchants, and events give the world more ways to stay busy.
Its standout systems are the Pyro activities, especially fishing, mining, and farming. Custom armor, tools, furniture, plushies, and cosmetics add another layer without turning the server into a minigame network. Java and Bedrock players can share the same community and world.
What Makes It Different
Solace SMP turns normal survival work into several side progression tracks. Fishing, mining, and farming each have dedicated Pyro systems, while custom gear and cross-platform play keep the world social and busy.
Jobs is a progression system that rewards players for repeatedly performing defined Minecraft activities, such as mining, farming, fishing, building, or hunting mobs.
Jobs provide an important source of money and progression.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Land protection is a defining survival feature.
Custom Items are server-created weapons, tools, armor, or usable objects with abilities or properties beyond Minecraft’s standard items.
Custom items, armor, tools, furniture, plushies, and cosmetics distinguish the server from plain vanilla SMPs.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Survival is the server's main game mode.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is explicitly structured as a community SMP.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Jobs, shops, player auctions, and money-based progression are core systems.
The main game is survival with extra systems layered on top. Players can claim land, take jobs, use an economy, trade through the auction house, complete quests, and join community events. Pyrofishing, Pyromining, and Pyrofarming give resource gathering more structure than standard vanilla play.
Progress comes from jobs, weekly quests, custom enchants, custom armor, custom tools, and money earned through the shop or auction house. Quest rewards can include white scrolls and slot increasers, giving regular players more goals than simply collecting better vanilla gear.
Custom content includes custom enchants, armor, tools, plushies, furniture, fishing-related content, cosmetics, crates, and other items. Some custom equipment also has Bedrock-specific texture support.
The server is designed around a long-term survival world with room for large builds, shared projects, and community spaces. Its earlier format also used a no-reset approach, reinforcing the server's focus on persistence rather than short seasonal wipes.
PvP is part of the server's gameplay mix, while land claims give players a way to protect important builds. It suits players who want survival cooperation with the possibility of combat, rather than a completely peaceful building server.
Jobs pay players for activities such as farming and hunting. Crops and other materials can be sold through the shop, and the auction house supports player trading. Auction earnings made while offline can be applied automatically when the player returns.
Regular events, shared projects, and community spaces are part of the server's social gameplay. The format leaves room for builders, explorers, redstone players, and players who prefer shorter activity loops such as quests or jobs.
The community uses Discord alongside in-game chat. Proxy chat connects Discord and the game, and Simple Voice Chat is available for players who want proximity-style communication. The server also encourages player-and-staff-built projects.
The server uses simple, common-sense community rules and promotes a welcoming survival environment.
The official store sells ranks, crate keys, cosmetic boxes, fishing rods, packs, and extra cosmetics. The server presents its model as non-pay-to-win, with purchases framed around supporting the network and adding optional content.

History of Solace SMP
Solace SMP was already running by July 2020 as a mature, whitelisted vanilla survival server on play.solacesmp.net. The early server focused on long-term play, used Minecraft 1.16.x, and promoted a world with no reset.
During that first era, Solace SMP was aimed at older players who wanted a quieter survival community rather than a large public network. Whitelist access, mature-player requirements, and the no-reset approach made persistence and familiarity central to the experience.
By 2026, the server had expanded into a broader Survival+ format. The old vanilla foundation was joined by land claims, jobs, an economy, custom enchants, custom items, Pyrofishing, Pyromining, Pyrofarming, crates, and regular events. Java and Bedrock support also became part of the server's main offer.
Spring 2026 updates pushed the progression systems further. Weekly quests gained rewards such as slot increasers and white scrolls. Auction-house earnings began applying automatically after players returned online, while job payouts and shop listings were adjusted for farming, hunting, and selling crops.
The same update period also brought practical quality-of-life work. Players could see health under name tags, custom armor received attribute fixes, and several Bedrock texture and sign-display problems were corrected.
Today, Solace SMP is a community-focused Survival+ world with long-term building, plugin-driven resource grinds, player trading, custom gear, cross-platform access, and a Discord-centered social layer.
