About SimpCraft
SimpCraft is a mostly vanilla survival server with an anarchy-style rule set. Leave spawn, gather supplies, travel the Nether highways, and choose whether to build quietly, join a group, or hunt for other players.
Your base is part of the story, not a safe menu option. Hidden camps, ruined builds, old roads, and player-made landmarks give the world a strong sense of memory. PvP, raiding, and griefing can turn a normal trip into a fight, but helpful players and long-lived groups also exist.
What Makes It Different
SimpCraft began as a one-off MrBeast challenge server and became a real player society after the video ended. Its ruined bases, highways, and old landmarks make the map feel like a place with memory, not just a fresh survival world.
Anarchy is a Minecraft server style where players operate under very few enforced rules, leaving survival and conflict largely in player hands.

SimpCraft is mostly vanilla. Historical custom plugins added land claims, an experience-based shop, and buyable permissions. The current set of custom systems is not fully clear.
The world contains Nether highways, old spawn areas, community bases, group bases, ruined megastructures, and landmarks left behind by earlier eras. Long-term exploration is a major part of the experience because older builds can reveal how the community changed.
PvP is a central part of the server's identity. Spawn, major routes, and exposed bases can be dangerous. Crystal PvP and other modern combat styles are part of the wider player culture, while avoiding contact is often the safest choice for new players.
An early version of SimpCraft used experience levels in a custom shop instead of a normal money balance. A current server-wide currency or marketplace system is not established clearly enough to summarize.
Most notable events are player-led: group projects, base construction, raids, spawn conflicts, and attempts to preserve or destroy famous landmarks. The server's defining outside event was the 2020 MrBeast Gaming raid.
Players organize into informal groups, clans, and base communities. Shared highways, communal builds, Discord conversations, and long-running rivalries give the server a social layer beyond ordinary survival.
SimpCraft is built around anarchy-style freedom with very few restrictions. Current enforcement details are not clear enough to provide a complete rules summary.
The server is free to join. Its store accepts donations from $5 and up. Donors receive a Silver Discord rank with mainly cosmetic community perks, early access to some channels or announcements, and a Silver chat channel.
History of SimpCraft
SimpCraft opened on July 28, 2020, as a Paper server created by Plutoren and the MrBeast team for a large Minecraft raid video. Experimental changes allowed more than 1,000 players to join within about a minute. After filming ended, Plutoren kept the server online, giving the temporary project a life of its own.
Before the video brought wider attention, the server had a small community of roughly 30 to 40 players. Early groups included the Kelp Clan and the BeastMC builders. Spawnville began as a community base and later moved after repeated griefing attempts.
The MrBeast video was released on August 8, 2020. Large numbers of new players arrived, while established players tried to control the old spawn area with lava and obsidian. The conflict spread to Spawn 2.0, which was eventually destroyed. Around the same time, Plutoren took control of the server's Discord community and player votes rejected most proposed additions, helping preserve the server's stripped-back style.
From August through December 2020, groups formed, fought, merged, and disappeared. Balance became one of the strongest organizations and controlled a major base. Players also debated whether important areas around spawn should be preserved, but no lasting preservation system took hold.
A later period followed the book-dupe era. The community split between players who had duplicated items and players who had not. Lower activity made room for new spawn projects and large bases, while another group of players began destroying builds whenever they found their locations. This pushed SimpCraft further toward the harsh, player-driven style associated with anarchy servers.
The server then entered a long quiet period. Small projects and occasional events continued, but activity was much lower than during its first months. The old world gradually became a collection of abandoned structures, damaged roads, community bases, and stories known mostly to returning players.
On March 24, 2023, FitMC released a widely watched video about SimpCraft's abandoned landscape and its transformation into an anarchy server. The video brought renewed attention to the server's ruins and history, introducing the world to a much wider Minecraft audience.
Today, SimpCraft remains a mostly vanilla semi-anarchy survival world. Its identity comes from the long-lived map, player-made groups, dangerous travel, old landmarks, and the unusual path from a one-time creator event to a persistent community server.
