About Purity Vanilla
Purity Vanilla is a Java survival world built around vanilla Minecraft with anarchy-style freedom. Gather resources, travel far from spawn, build hidden bases, form groups, trade with other players, or start a fight.
What Makes It Different
Purity combines anarchy's freedom with a strict no-hacks rule. You can raid and fight, but the world still follows normal Minecraft rules instead of becoming a contest of client exploits.
Anarchy is a Minecraft server style where players operate under very few enforced rules, leaving survival and conflict largely in player hands.
The server's defining format allows player freedom, raiding, griefing, and open conflict while banning hacks.
Vanilla servers use Minecraft’s original blocks, items, rules, and progression without custom gameplay systems that redefine how players play.
The main survival experience is intentionally close to normal Minecraft mechanics.
Raiding is attacking another player’s base to breach its defenses, reach its valuables, and weaken or destroy its ability to operate.
Raiding and griefing are allowed in the main world and form a major part of the risk-reward experience.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Players gather resources, build bases, explore, farm, trade, and fight in a survival world.
PvP is Minecraft gameplay centered on direct combat between players.
Open-world player combat is allowed, and the network has also operated a dedicated PvP server.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is a large shared survival multiplayer world shaped by player groups and projects.
A persistent world is a Minecraft server world that keeps its player-made changes and ongoing progress across repeated visits.
The experience emphasizes long-term continuity, historic bases, and exploration across a large established world.
Begin with ordinary survival: gather wood, mine, craft gear, explore, and build. There is no /home or /tpa system, so roads, Nether routes, boats, maps, hidden stashes, and trusted companions matter.
There is no server-made quest line or rank ladder for survival gameplay. Progress comes from better equipment, farms, storage, distant bases, useful routes, rare items, alliances, and the reputation you build with other players.
The main survival world stays close to vanilla Minecraft. Extra features focus mainly on cosmetics and convenience, including nicknames, colored chat and signs, formatted item names, /seen, and /hat. Approved client-side quality-of-life mods are permitted under a strict list.
The main world is designed for long-term continuity and large-scale exploration. Players can travel millions of blocks from spawn, making distance and concealment important parts of protecting a base.
PvP, griefing, and raiding are allowed in the main world. Combat uses normal Minecraft mechanics rather than custom survival weapons. Purity has also operated a separate PvP server with custom kits and automatically resetting crystal-PvP arenas.
There is no preset server currency or built-in economy controlling survival play. Players create their own value through direct trades, resource deals, shops, services, and alliances.
Anniversary events have sometimes added temporary changes to the normal survival rules. The 2025 anniversary event used relics that could drop while mining cobblestone, allowing many players to participate without competing for a single spawn-time reward.
The community organizes itself through factions, trading groups, redstone projects, map-art projects, builders, content creators, and other player-run spaces. Discord is used for announcements, support tickets, coordination, and general chat.
Hacked clients, prohibited client modifications, X-ray, ESP, duplication exploits, seed cracking, permanent-block glitches, intentional lag machines, and harmful discriminatory content are prohibited. The server keeps a strict approved-mod list. A first rule violation normally brings a seven-day ban, while a second violation normally becomes permanent; severe cases can receive stronger punishment immediately.
Paid ranks are lifetime purchases and mainly provide cosmetic features, chat and sign customization, nicknames, formatting tools, and queue priority. FullJoin packages can bypass a full server for a limited period. Voting can also provide queue benefits, cosmetic ranks, and selected in-game perks.

History of Purity Vanilla
Purity Vanilla launched on March 23, 2019, with a deliberately limited form of survival multiplayer. It removed hacked clients, teleport commands, homes, and a preset server economy, leaving players to shape the world through their own decisions.
This foundation gave the server its early identity. Players created their own bases, alliances, routes, shops, and rivalries instead of relying on built-in conveniences or an imposed economy.
As the server developed, its technical foundation changed. Purity moved from Purpur to a custom fork during the 1.16 era, marking a transition in how the server supported its single-world gameplay.
The project later began a long-term migration to Folia. This work focused on improving performance for a large single world while preserving the server's survival-oriented character.
Purity's rules also established a defined escalation system. A first normal rule violation generally results in a seven-day ban, a second generally results in a permanent ban, and ban evasion can lead to IP bans.
On December 26, 2025, the server domain was added to Mojang's blocked server list. In January 2026, Purity updated its rules and planned a chat filter while seeking review.
Today, Purity Vanilla operates through purityvanilla.com and mc.purityvanilla.com as a vanilla-anarchy survival server. Its identity remains rooted in player-created communities, conflict, movement, and economies within a world without teleport commands, homes, or a preset economy.
