About SA Crafters
Choose between two survival experiences under the SA Crafters network. Amethyst adds quests, skills, economy and events to the usual gathering and building loop, while Emerald keeps a more vanilla-like balance with claims and player trading. Both worlds are seasonal and accessible from Java and Bedrock.
What Makes It Different
The clearest difference is the split between two distinct survival styles under one network. Amethyst is built for players who want structured progression and server systems, while Emerald keeps the familiar survival rhythm and adds only practical protections and trading.
Quests are tracked Minecraft objectives that direct players to complete specific tasks or a connected sequence of tasks.
Custom tracked quests are a named part of Amethyst’s enhanced survival progression.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The network centers on two shared multiplayer survival realms where players gather, build, explore, and progress together.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Emerald explicitly provides land protection for players developing bases and settlements.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Both Amethyst and Emerald are explicitly presented as survival experiences built around ordinary Minecraft progression.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Amethyst includes an in-game economy, while Emerald supports player-to-player trading as part of survival play.
Amethyst combines ordinary survival gathering, building and exploration with custom quests, skills, economy systems and scheduled events. Emerald is the simpler option, built around vanilla-like survival, protected land and player-to-player trading. The two realms share the same network and community while keeping their gameplay identities separate.
Amethyst provides the deeper progression path through quests, skills, economy and other unlockable development. Emerald focuses on self-directed survival progress, with players improving bases, farms, equipment and settlements inside a protected seasonal world.
Amethyst adds custom quests and skills, and the network also provides an in-game AI assistant through the /ai command for Minecraft questions, crafting help, adventure preparation and build advice.
SA Crafters currently centers on two seasonal survival worlds. Amethyst is the enhanced realm, and Emerald is the vanilla-like realm. The network is hosted in Gauteng, giving South African players a locally hosted option.
Amethyst includes a player economy, while Emerald supports player trading. The network presents earning and progression as in-game activities rather than something that should be purchased for an advantage.
Events are part of the Amethyst experience, giving the enhanced survival realm activities beyond its regular quests, skills and economy loop.
The network promotes Discord as its main community hub, with more than 4,000 members listed on the current site. Community activities include sharing builds, getting support, joining events and helping shape future server development.
The network follows a no-pay-to-win approach. Purchase, refund and virtual-item terms are intended to be published before commerce features launch.
A survival realm choice lets players select between distinct world experiences with different systems, progression depth, or gameplay priorities.
Players choose between Amethyst’s enhanced systems and Emerald’s more vanilla-like survival approach under the same network.
An in-game AI assistant provides interactive guidance, answers, or recommendations through a server-integrated player-facing interface.
SA Crafters provides a beta assistant through the /ai command for Minecraft questions, crafting help, adventure preparation, and build advice.
A world structure divided into named seasons, with each season representing a distinct chapter of ongoing server survival progress.
SA Crafters presents both Amethyst and Emerald as seasonal survival worlds, with fresh seasons forming part of their current identity.
No-pay-to-win policies avoid selling gameplay advantages that would materially improve player power or progression.
SA Crafters advertises no pay-to-win progression, separating its stated gameplay approach from purchases intended to provide competitive advantages.
Skills are player abilities or attributes that improve through progression and shape effectiveness in selected gameplay activities.
Amethyst adds skills as one of its custom progression systems alongside quests, economy features, and events.
History of SA Crafters
SA Crafters was operating by 2020 and had established a South African survival identity by 2022, when Bedrock support was already part of the network. During 2025, its player-facing setup remained centered on crossplay survival, local hosting and periodic world progression.
In August 2026, the network presented a new two-world structure. Amethyst became the enhanced survival realm with quests, skills, economy and events, while Emerald took the vanilla-like route with land protection, trading and seasonal resets. The same update also introduced a redesigned public website and additional in-game support tools.
