Pelar is a long-running Estonian survival server where players build protected bases, gather resources, earn money, trade through player shops, and take part in structured building events. Java and Bedrock players can join the same network, while the main survival rules keep the overworld safer and reserve player combat for the Nether and End.
What Makes It Different
Pelar separates safe building from open player conflict more clearly than many survival servers. The overworld protects built areas and forbids ordinary PvP, while the Nether and End allow fights, traps, raiding of unprotected areas, and the risk of losing gear in combat.
Events are organized Minecraft activities that give players a distinct objective and rules for a particular occasion or limited period.
Recurring building contests provide scheduled competitive activities with individual or team participation and rewards.
Player Shops are player-run places or interfaces where players sell items to other players for currency or agreed trade goods.
ChestShop enables players to buy and sell stocked items through player-created chest and sign shops.
Land claims are protected areas that let a player or group control who can build, break, and interact with blocks inside a marked part of the world.
Grief Prevention claims protect player bases, control permissions, and can be expanded through playtime or in-game money.

Pelar adds survival-focused systems rather than replacing Minecraft’s core progression. These include Grief Prevention claims, ChestShop, Autorank, vote keys, and PlotSquared and WorldEdit tools for building contests. Bedrock crossplay connects mobile and other Bedrock players to the same network.
The server centers on a shared survival world with protected claims, a separate build-contest world, the Nether and End as PvP areas, and a live map that displays player land claims.
Player combat is allowed only in the Nether and End. Traps such as lava, fire, and ambushes count as PvP, direct teleport traps are forbidden, and leaving during a fight gives the opponent the player’s items. Raiding and stealing are allowed only in unprotected Nether and End areas.
In-game money is used for rank requirements, claim block purchases, and player trading. ChestShop lets established players sell or buy stocked items from chests, while voting provides currency and keys. Claim blocks can be bought for money and sold back at a lower rate.
Building contests generally take place every other Sunday from 16:00 to 20:00, although the schedule can change. Players may build alone or in teams of up to three, then compete for ranks, items, money, vote keys, and other rewards.
Pelar is organized around an Estonian-language Discord and a visible staff structure covering administration, moderation, media, building, support, and consulting. Discord is also used for staff applications and community coordination.
Cheating, X-ray, hacked clients, autoclickers, exploits, duplication, gambling, and multiple accounts are prohibited. Automatic farms require the player to remain attentive. Players must avoid harassment, spam, excessive capitalization, personal-data leaks, and advertising other Estonian Minecraft servers. Built areas in the overworld must be respected, and Nether roof travel and building are forbidden.
The official store sells paid titles and services, including Jobs boosts and timed supporter ranks. The store also offers a monthly Plaatina Pelar title. In-game Autorank progression remains available without relying only on store purchases, while donations help cover the server and community’s operating costs.
Designated PvP zones concentrate unrestricted or specially governed player combat into marked areas of a larger world.

History of PELAR
Pelar’s community dates back to 2013 and has remained centered on Estonian survival play for more than a decade. One of the early founders is still listed as a consultant, connecting the current team with the server’s beginnings.
Long-time leader LonLoF is listed as having led Pelar from 2013 to 2024. The current team lists Vinkuviiner as the server’s leader from 2026 onward, marking a recent leadership handover while Pelar continues its survival, Bedrock, building contest, and Discord activities.
