About Brassworks SMP
Build a workshop, route materials through Create machinery, and turn production into a shared business on Brassworks SMP. The server combines cooperative survival with a curated Vanilla+ modpack, a player-driven economy, exploration, and large community builds. Season 2 runs on a fresh world with an expanded modpack and a renewed focus on collaboration.
What Makes It Different
Brassworks goes beyond a standard Create mod installation with more than 3,000 lines of custom KubeJS scripts, altered recipes and progression paths, and tailor-made server mods. Its engineering systems feed into a player-driven economy where workshops and businesses can become part of the shared world.
Modded Minecraft servers use game mods to add or change mechanics, content, or progression beyond the unmodified game.
Joining requires a curated custom modpack centered on Create, additional mods, custom recipes, and tailor-made server content.
An SMP is a multiplayer Minecraft survival world where players gather resources, build, and progress alongside one another.
The server is explicitly a cooperative survival multiplayer experience built around shared workshops, construction, exploration, and trade.
Minecraft economy gameplay makes in-game money a central way to obtain resources, upgrades, or access.
Player-driven trade, manufacturing, workshops, businesses, and shared market activity are central advertised parts of gameplay.
Survival servers let players gather resources, craft gear, build shelter, and develop a base while staying alive in a dangerous world.
Shared-world survival provides the foundation for gathering resources, building, exploring, automating production, and developing workshops.
Gather resources, design mechanical production lines, automate food and materials, and expand a workshop or business alongside other players. Create is the central technical focus, while builders and explorers can pursue aesthetic construction, world exploration, and relaxed social play without a competitive minigame-network structure.
Progression is shaped by Create machinery, custom recipes, and seasonal world development rather than a stated class or level system. Brassworks revises its modpack and progression paths between seasons, with Season 2 bringing a new world, additional content, and a refined cooperative experience.
The curated modpack is heavily customized with more than 3,000 lines of KubeJS scripts, modified recipes, custom progression work, Create add-ons, optimization and quality-of-life mods, and tailor-made content. The Brassworks Launcher, Modrinth distribution, live map, and open GitHub repositories are also part of the server's custom ecosystem.
Season 2 takes place in a completely new world designed for exploration and collaboration. The world has a live online map and a player-built spawn, giving players a way to follow the shared landscape and community construction in real time.
Brassworks is presented as a cooperative PvE server, and PvP is not a defining part of its advertised gameplay. There is no advertised faction-war, raiding, or open-conflict loop.
Trade and player-run production are central to the server's economy. Players can specialize in automation, manufacture goods, and grow workshops or businesses that contribute to a shared player-driven market.
Community events are advertised alongside normal survival play, including minigames, boss encounters, contests, and prize events. These activities give players reasons to gather outside their usual workshops and automation projects.
Brassworks is aimed at a small, close-knit community of builders, engineers, explorers, and social players. Discord is the main community hub, and player feedback is part of the server's ongoing development. The open-source repositories also invite contributions, bug reports, and feature suggestions.
Players need the relevant Brassworks Season 2 modpack before joining. The supported setup uses Modrinth or another compatible launcher, followed by Direct Join to brassworks.opnsoc.org. Reading the community rules in Discord is expected before playing.
Ko-fi is the advertised support route for Brassworks. The available server information presents this as voluntary project support rather than a conventional ranks, crates, or paid-power store.
Engineering-focused Minecraft gameplay uses mechanical components, machines, and connected systems to transform resources and automate practical tasks.
Create is Brassworks' central technical focus: players design contraptions, route materials through machinery, and build workshops around automated production.
Production lines connect sequential machines or processing stages so raw resources become finished goods through repeatable workflows.
