Nightshade Cobbled drops you into the Solanum region, where you join the Rangers, uncover the history of its people and work toward stopping Eternatus. Day to day it plays as Cobblemon survival: catch your team, breed better Pokemon in pastures and set up chest shops to trade.
The big goals are social. Players build towns with houses, a PokeCenter and a PokeMart, and staff rank them up over five tiers. Gym leaders are other players, spread across eight badge tiers, and the Elite Four fight level 100 teams in doubles. Raid bosses spawn every two hours for groups to take down. It runs on Java with the server's own modpack.
What Makes It Different
Every gym is run by a player and tied to a real town that players built, so the badge path runs through the community itself.

You survive, build and grow towns in an open world.
You explore, catch and train Pokemon in survival, then build a home and grow it into a town with other players. Raid bosses appear every two hours and need at least two players.
Eight gym tiers each have a level cap, starting at level 10 to 20 and ending at 80 to 90. You can challenge a gym once every 12 hours, and legendary, mythical, paradox and Ultra Beast Pokemon are not allowed. After the badges come the Elite Four and the Champion.
Towns earn a warp once staff approve them, and they move up five tiers as they add houses, a PokeCenter, a PokeMart and a place for people to meet.
Chat must stay family friendly. Alt trading for an advantage is not allowed, and you are responsible for anyone who plays on your account.
The store sells ranks, statues and cosmetics. Crate keys come from voting, one key per vote.
Staff run the Elite Four with level 100 teams in doubles battles, and the Champion picks the format.
Players lead the gyms across eight badge tiers, each tied to a town, and must allow at least one rematch a day.
Claims keep your builds safe, and you can trust friends at different levels or give land back when you move.
Towns get a warp from staff and climb five tiers by adding houses, a PokeCenter, a PokeMart and a meeting spot.
Each vote gives a Gastly Key, up to five a day, for the Gastly crate at spawn.
Breeding happens in pastures you switch on with a wooden hoe, and a hopper can collect the eggs for you.
Players turn chests into shops to sell items to each other without needing to be online.
Raids spawn every two hours from 1 to 5 stars, and caught raid Pokemon come with at least three perfect IVs.

History of Nightshade Cobbled
Nightshade Cobbled opened its website in February 2023 with a short welcome post from the team. By June 2023 its own Cobblemon modpack was up on CurseForge, built just for the Nightshade community.
In 2025 the wiki filled out with guides for raids, breeding, crates and custom furniture recipes. The modpack has since moved to Minecraft 1.21.1, and the gym roster now lists player leaders for most of the sixteen badges.
